I would think most girls would prefer the more "traditional" way of dating but sometimes I wonder.

Now believe it or not I'm not a beta male virgin, but a normal enough guy that wishes romance was still a thing. Not because I'm a loser or whatever you're gonna call me but because I would prefer the traditional way.

Traditional way: Boy meets girl. She's not texting 4 other guys and he isn't really interested in other girls. He has the balls to ask her out on a date. If she thinks he's cute and nice she accepts his invitation. He picks her up and takes her out. The most he'll get is a kiss. If it goes well they continue this and then become officially together. Then they have sex and what not.

Modern way: Guy meets girl at bar/party/club/tinder. Gets her number. Texts her for a few days. She is texting 5 other dudes. He asks her to meet up. They meet up for coffee then go have sex. Usually nothing happens after that. Sometimes people fuck right after meeting someone in a bar. Eventually this will lead into a relationship but one partner will cheat and it will end.

Not saying the traditional method was always followed and that it always worked. But guys needed more balls. Girls wouldn't fuck a guy right away like they do now. They would need to be seduced. This fueled romance and guys had to bring something to the table. Back a few decades ago (not that long ago really) most girls wouldn't have sex outside of relationships. Nowadays its rare to find a girl that doesn't. I just feel like women have a lot more power and respect the old way and are better off with traditional dating.

Maybe I'm wrong. You tell me.

(for all you feminists out there, I'm not saying treating women like property, or them not allowed to work. I'm talking about dating not married life)

I've been dating my girlfriend for a while now and we've always been absolutely crazy about each other and we recently had a conversation in which she's told me that she doesn't even want to talk to other people because it's draining to her and she literally really only wants me in her life. She just wants me and her career in her life. She's educated and will be making great money. She's obsessive and clingy to me and she's naturally introverted. She's not socially awkward or mentally weak or anything but she just wants me in her life and really only wants me as her only friend. She's fine with me socializing and going out. She's giving me all of herself and placing all of her dependency on me willingly. She's trusting me to take care of her with all this power she is giving me. She's very submissive and she is also extremely attractive lol. I honestly feel like the luckiest guy in the world and it makes me feel more masculine and confident. I feel like all men would rather have this but they're settling for what modern women will give them.

This question pertains to the expectations of women using dating sites and apps. I am a fit, successful 30 year old man who has never engaged in sexual intimacy. I am curious as to what portion of said demographic active with these media would appreciate the virtue of a man seeking a deep emotional connection with a prospective partner. It is worth noting that I am agnostic and my abstainance has stemmed from no dogmatic influence or externally imposed set of values. I have just been very selective in my romantic pursuits and to date, unsuccessful.

What's more, I am confounded by the reality of modern hook-up culture wherein causual sexual encounters see parties use and discard the other toward their own selfish ends. The apparent predominance of this practice has me sorrowfully disheartened and discouraged, as I am unable to disassociate the concepts of passion and love. It has been my struggle to reconcile satisfaction of my carnal urges within the context of a relationship. It is my hope that a fair proportion of the adult female population exudes both the patience, willingness, and moral fortitude to discover a higher sexual experience through love.
