I've done dated a couple others I didn't want to reject before (I hate rejecting, esp when they're trying to get someone to say yes to them... so I tried helping them) and in the end words got spread.

They didn't like that either. They actually found that worse. Some guy actually told me he would rather have been told ''in your dreams loser'' than what I did. I don't understand. What's so wrong about not rejecting out of compassion/pity? I'm also trying to be nice by not say no and giving you time of the day; even if I don't feel attraction for you.

Honestly what would you find worse, getting rejected harshly (''hells nope, get lost loser'') or someone dating you out of compassion/pity?

hi all! Just going to bullet point these so I don’t ramble.
- I interviewed for a job at a larger publishing company a few months ago and was rejected
- last week, recruiter contacted me about a different position (my dream position), submitted my profile to the job and set me up with an interview
- I know the hiring manager and whole team as clients from my current job.
- The interview went okay, I feel like I was a bit short in a few places because I was nervous, but she said she sees me fitting in to the team
-she likes that I take initiative and says she trusts my background
-I was interviewed before the job listing was even posted
-she told me that it would be a while before I heard anything because she wants to see how I compare to the other candidates
-she said “will make sure someone reaches out to you regardless”
