You find a guy/girl you like but (s) he can only have 2 out of 3 quality traits that you desire.

As a baseline:
Looks- (if you choose) Extremely hot. (If you don't choose) whatever you consider to be horrendous
Intelligence- (if you choose) the smartest person you know. (If you don't choose) as dumb as a rock.
Personality- (if you choose) a very charming person. (If you don't choose) as dull as a box of rocks.

So firstly I have yet to meet this guy in person (we first chatted about a class we have together.) And yet I can't help but feel he likes me already (way too fast for me). I could be wrong, but either way my actual problem is i'm not at all attracted to him, he's a good looking guy, but he's too girly for me. I am not even that girly, I was always sorta into manlier things like cars, sports, hiking, etc. The more I find out about him, the more turned off I am. I'm not saying I want a wrestler or a really macho guy, but I want to feel like a girl when I'm with a guy, and not like I am manlier than him or that I have to take on ALL the dominating qualities. he's a really nice guy, but I always see backlash given to girls because they dont "give the nice guy a chance". Now i'm starting to think the rejection is justified for some of them.

As in: if one guy/girl takes a picture with an iPhone and one guy/girl takes a picture with an android, will the one taken with the better quality phone/camera make them appear more attractive/prettier/more handsome than the guy/girl who take their picture with a less quality phone/camera lens? Can stuff like this trick the eye?

I've know this guy for 5-6 years. When we first met, there was attraction between us. A few years ago, we went out, he held my hand, and he wrapped his hands around my waist. He's not the type of guy that takes the first step and I was scared to get rejected. He tells me things like, you're the first person I invited to for my birthday. I remember twice on my birthdays, he tried to kiss me on my cheeks but I moved away. I don't know if this is the right term but, I guess we kind of friend zoned each other. We both started to date other people. Life went on and I got into a serious relationship with someone for a few years. We haven't talk for within those years. My ex and I broke up.

I sent him a text message and told him what happened. We started talking again. We met up for lunch and we had conversations about relationships. He's currently single and focusing on career. He described what he wants in a woman and honestly, I have all the qualities that he listed. He knows that I was really upset about my ex. We talked on the phone for a few hours. He told me that he never ever talks to a girl over the phone unless he's going after her. He then told me that he doesn't talk to any female unless he's after her. He has basically no female friends. However, the weird thing is, I always talk to him. He then said I'm the first girl he talks to all the time.

We have been going out alone. He say things like, I only go to these places with the girl i'm after. I invited him over for dinner and he came and we went to the movies. He really enjoyed my cooking. Sometimes, i don't know if he's testing me to see if I like him. Today, I asked him out to dinner but then he said, "next week lets do movie and dinner". So, I guess that doesn't count as him asking me out. When we look at each other, you know there's something but I'm not sure if I'm thinking too much.

Do you think he likes me? If so, what can I do to take a step?
