I work as a sound engineer at my parish along with my crush. In March, I received flowers from a secret admirer. That day my crush wouldn't look at me, but the next day, he was very shy and gentlemanlike with me. Before he left, he asked if I wanted him to stay with me (I had only been working 6 months when the pandemic hit, so I still don't know a lot, but don't really need help either). I told him if he wanted to stay the next week and teach me to EQ, I'd bring the book he gave me. He asked if I had the book with me and looked like, if I did, he would have stayed that same day.
A few weeks later, he is still staying about 40 minutes each Sunday.
A couple of weeks ago, he called and said, "Look, I want to help you learn better. I don't think me staying 40 minutes is going to help you, so I am going to stay longer, but I can only stay until 5:30 (no joke, I end at 6:15)."
This Sunday was his second week staying longer (by the way he works from 6a-12:30p, I work from 12:30-6:15p). At the 1 pm Mass, he took a nap. At the 3 pm, some guy reading had a hissy sound in his voice so I EQ'd using tips from the book without asking my crush and when I asked how it sounded, he said good.
Later that night, he texted me and asked how it went after he left (yes, he asked about the last 15 minutes of Mass). I told him good and mentioned a minor problem and that I had fixed it, but he should probably check it the next day. He called me right away about that, then revealed something that has been making me think...
We talked about the 3 pm Mass for a bit. I talked about the hissy sound from the readers voice and my crush explained how to fix that. I told him I did fix it and that's when he revealed that he wasn't even paying attention. That's when I realized he obviously isn't there to train me.
But why stay at work for 11 hours then call me about the last 15 min?
Does he like me or is it possible he is staying for another reason?

(Not like an "in your head fictional", but like a guy from a book or tv show)

I'm obsessed with watching romantic tv shows and reading romantic books. The guys are always so perfect, even when they aren't. And I want the things that happen to the girl in the story to happen to me. With a guy like the one from the story. (Examples: Bridgerton, From Blood and Ash, The Vampire Diaries, 50 Shades of Grey)
I know that the stories might be crazy, and most are sci-fi/supernatural/extremely unrealistic, but I still want to have a guy like that. And I'm in agony because those guys (if they ever existed) surely don't exist any more.
I feel like I will never fall in love with anyone or have a boyfriend, because my standards are too high. (And no, I can't lower them lol)

Does anyone have any advice on what to do?
