So you could conceivably engineer humans to have better eyesight and hearing, perhaps see in the Infrared or Ultraviolet spectrum like Snakes or Bees, and perhaps have super-human healing, strength, or speed, etc. Maybe if you spliced Electric Eel DNA into humans they could even channel electricity through muscle based capacitors the same way the electric eel does.

Perhaps you could even splice the DNA of more intelligent humans into your baby from conception, to make them smarter than your DNA alone would produce, like splice Albert Einstein's DNA into your child.

Or use genetic engineering to give humans a more powerful immune system capable of fighting a wider variety of pathogens or killing cancer cells, etc.
