Valentine's Day is a great day to celebrate love with your long term partner, but what do you do if you just started dating someone the week before Valentine's Day? What if it's your first date?

There are some expectations about a date on Valentine's Day based on customs and traditions. Typically, a guy makes an extra effort to make it a nice date. He sends his girl a dozen red roses with a note that says how much she means to him. He might arrive for the date with a box of fine chocolates as a gift. The girl has gone to extra trouble to make herself look just right for this special occasion. They share a fine meal together and perhaps move on to a lounge for a drink afterwards. If the relationship already includes sex, both the guy and girl probably expect that the night will conclude with the two of them in bed together. If the relationship is relatively new but they are both feeling a physical attraction, this may be the night when they decide to share physical intimacy for he first time.

So what if it's a first date? Or a second date? If I ask the girl out to dinner for Valentine's Day and I go to all this trouble to make her feel special, she may think that I am expecting her to give herself to me physically at the end of the night. I certainly don't want to make a girl feel pressured on that subject. Maybe she will think this is too much, too soon, and I must be desperate of I am trying so hard to impress her. But if I don't ask her out, will she think that I am being cheap or maybe conclude that I don't feel she is worth the effort? Will she feel a bit depressed because she is sitting at home while all of her friends are going out for Valentine's Day?

What should I do? I don't face this dilemma this year because I am living with my girlfriend who I have been dating for the past year. But I have faced this question previously. How would you want to handle this situation?

I've been seeing a girl for almost five years and we're engaged. She went out with her friends to a club. I trusted her because she's never cheated or even flirted with other guys. She was also a virgin when we met so that means she'd be more loyal. Last year she told me she was pregnant and we decided to start a family together because we agreed at the beginning if the baby would be healthy we'd keep it.

This past Monday she had the baby but I said I needed a paternity test before I said I was the father because I wanted to be 100% sure because some girls lie to guys about being the father. She said she didn't mind if I really wanted a paternity test. I found out last night that the results showed I'm not the father.

I confronted her last night and she was crying saying she made a big mistake and had a one night stand at a club. She hoped it was mine but was afraid of losing me. She said she doesn't know at all who the father is and that it will be impossible to find out. She said she doesn't know what she'll do without me. She said she had a little too much to drink and wasn't thinking properly. She said she's been trying to make it up to me and show she loves me. I know she does and I still love her a lot but I don't know if I can stay after what she did. Her baby is white, with blonde hair and blue eyes, so that makes the situation a little better. I'm not racist but if she had a interracial baby then I would have left immediately because everyone would view me as a total cuck.

She's almost 21 so people might say she made a common mistake but cheating isn't a mistake even if its one night.

She really betrayed and hurt me, and what she did has sort of humiliated me. What do you think I should do in this situation? I told her last night I was calling off the wedding but I'd give it time to think about staying with her.

I'm dating a woman, but I guess not for long. She makes me feel unwanted. We doesn't hang out so much. Maximum 3 hours per week. But she can hang out with her friends a lot more. Several days per week.

I don't drink alcohol but she does. She love to party with alcohol. She can party several days in a road.

I prefer watch a movie or taking a walk or travel somewhere. She like traveling too, but to party with others. When I'm traveling I want to see the city and shopping, not party and drink alcohol.

I tried to talk with her about this. That I feel left out, but it's feel like she doesn't listen. Feels like she doesn't care. She saying I'm not left out.

When we are hanging out, 3 hours per week it's like she is bored or something. She get tired very easily. We can watch movies, go out to eat and go to cinema or shopping.

Everytime we are going out to eat at a restaurant she always drink alcohol. And of course I don't. I almost always drink wather or Coke. She always ask me if I don't want an alhocol free drink. When she ask me that, it's feel like she wants me to drink alcohol too.

I think hanging out 3 hours per week is nothing.

Many times when we deciced to hang out, she cancel and say she had a headick. But later that day, she hanging out with others to party and drink alcohol.

I don't know what to do. I guess it's doomed. She love to drink and party, but I don't.

She saying I'm the most wonderful, caring and kindess guy. And she doesn't wants to loose me. But it doesn't feel like it. She say one thing but act the opposit.

I know there are other girls out there who doesn't drink or doesn't drink so much.

This girl she drinks when she is depressed, she drinks so she doesn't get tired so easily, she drinks when she goes to the dentist so it doesn't hurt so much, she drinks when she eat food, she drinks when she doesn't wants to be shy.

And I don't drink alcohol at all.
