So in middle school half of my classes were for the slower kids and since we were in special ed we were labeled the disabled kids. I was also friends with other special ed kids. But I noticed that my main friends were in these classes. We were cool at first. People said we were retarded/ ugly and people often would tell me I wouldn't amount to much. Kids at school said my friends and I smelled like human poop and one of my friends was a short fat girl who'd bully other kids. This guy told me the main reasons why people thought of me so poorly and told me I was ugly and disgusting all the time was because the people I hanged out with, the fact I'm in special ed classes and how I rarely did anything when people called me and my friends ugly and strange. We were sort of like the outcasts of the school. It was hard to make friends and keep friends because they'd always avoid us or only talk to us during passing period. So that made us sort of bond but they turned on me once I was taken out of the special ed classes. :/

Alright here's my story.

I used to be in a special ed class. People in the class considered me to ugly, retarded and strange because I was the silent type. And the kids even added I was fat. I'd hang out with other special ED kids which people also thought were dumb and very ugly. People would walk up to us and rant about how horrible we both looked, how bad we smelled and how we were sisters. Being with special ED kids was awful because even the special ed kids would treat other special ed kids like this. But I noticed when I was in special ED classes I'd hang out with kids in special ed classes. But when my grades went up and the teachers decided I didn't need those classes anymore, I was no longer friends with or hanged out with special ED kids. Or they'd just say I was a show off, or a goodie two shoes. For finally moving on to be in the normal classes. I swear a few people started to look at me differently...

never wore makeup in middle school. hell, I never washed my face, or combed my hair in middle school either. i got up threw on some clothes and ran out. I may of washed up and smelled good. but I rarely put any effort what so ever in my looks. I was fat. so i often looked dirty and sleepy. I basically let myself go and didn't care. then suddenly i noticed how rude people were to me. and i started being told i looked like shit. people would avoid me, or tell me i was a ugly motherfucker. i had very little friends and when i did they were rude. guys trashed my things and i was told i was ugly and looked bad. the guys would even rip up my folders and tell me always i was ugly bitch and no one liked me. my friends were the same way. so, one day i went to my mom and asked for braces. ( i had horrble teeth i was suppose to get braces years ago) she smiled and said, yeah girl!. so, i stopped sucking ny tumb and got braces. my doctor says they will be off soon. people tell me i look good now but behind my back i am told i look slutty. ;/ i even got myself a bigger butt. ;D

i know its wrong to change how you look so people can like you, but i did it thinking if i became cute people would like me. i will have a higher self self esteem and i could reverse the effects of bullying. was i wrong for changing my look?
