I recently got back in touch with an old female friend of mine after living far away for a few years. I asked her about her city as a potential place to move. Always had feelings for her but she was with a guy for the last 7 years. Was always a strange friendship with her acting hot and cold all the time.

I was happy that when I asked about traffic in her city she gave me more information than I wanted to hype the place up. Even agreed to show me around if I made a trip. She oddly told me she hated dating out of the blue which I basically ignored and din't pry much into. She dated a guy during the summer so didn't talk to me much. I understood but it bothered me he was like me in uncomfortable ways.

Tried not to think about it but then I would see her mom of all people in my store. She even stops me once to talk about why I'm back in town. She talked to me for a long time, I had to walk away after 15 minutes being on the clock. Didn't know she even knew I moved. When the boy is out of the picture I get re-intouch with my friend who had changed her phone number (don't know if its related to the guy).

She's more bubbly this time giving me her work schedule, smiley faces, and telling me to tell her when I come down. Even admits her old boyfriend dragged her down (they never made sense) but because our relationship was always weird I continue only responding platonic and neutral, even tho I still like her, because I'd rather see her in person before throwing anything flirtatious her way. I didn't want to make my move to her city about her and get it in my head we'd be good frieds or more as I half-suspected she was just lonely working 7 day weeks between two jobs.

She suggested some date like actiivities for us to do if I went down but still haven't because of an awful work schedule and uncertainty over her. Now she doesn't talk to me at all after I got in my feelings and let it slip I still have feeling for her.

So in the beginning of the school year their was this girl in math who I hated to the point where i just wouldn't go to that class for about a week, then just to piss her off when i came back id sit right next to her, and all of her stuff would be on the chair i didn't give a fuck i was trying to tic her off but then she started asking me for help on the math work, i gave her help i didn't really care and now me and her are friends i guess i mean i did get her something for her birthday (it was just a pencil) but hey it was something. Then she found out im in a band and we do gigs, so now she calls me famous its kinda cute and i think she's growing on me, but how do i know if im growing on her? me and her have been talking now on a good note for a few months so im just kinda confused on how i feel. i went to my mom and sister they said it sounds like she likes me, but who knows let me get your opinion on it

So you all know my relationship problems and I've always felt like there are unnatural forces keeping me from forming relationships with others but this by far takes the cake.
I was at the dentist getting some work done and they had an intern talking to me. She was super cute and I thought, "damn I need her number". So everything was going great, she seemed impressed with me and she even did some work herself (I hope my teeth didn't turn her off 😳). Anyways she was finishing up and I was gonna ask for her number but the front desk lady was rushing me telling me call and reschedule and to leave quickly so I wouldn't be late for work. So I was wondering how the hell this lady even knows that someone brought me here. ... I get outside and find out my mom called them like 3 times.. 😑.

This is exactly why I can't stand fucking people! I already look like I'm 12, I work 2 jobs all day (actually that Impressed the girl 😡) but I guess its not surprising that a large majority of my issues circulate around my mom. She never let me go places when I was a kid, she expects me to do everything (covered that last time) and she's constantly paranoid. And here I am the only one at work with no friends and no girlfriend with her fucking me over 75% of the time by embarrassing me.

Now that I'm done ranting 😴. Have you ever been close to a date or a relationship or something like that only to have someone embarrass you or ruin the situation?
