This guy was very quick to ask me out but we couldn't make it work due to both of our busy lives. We bounced back dates for a few more times before we settled on a date. I had to reschedule that date and did tell him before that it was a crazier week at work. I called him to cancel as I wanted to let him know I was truly apologetic. He was sweet about it and even followed up the next night with a short thinking of you type text to re-initiate the date. Did a happy dance as that was really sweet given that I cancelled.

I then told him that we should plan something next week (instead of giving him a date on the spot) as my schedule is nuts. He then texted at start of next week to make plans. I gave a date for the next Wed but then rescheduled it again for Saturday as I had obligations I couldn't get out of.

Saturday came and he texted me early on to ask what our plans are. I slept in that day due to an insane night out before and didn't see his text until I woke like 3 hours later. I told him I'm genuinely not feeling up for it and asked if I could see him Monday evening. He was definitely annoyed as his text was a bit passive aggressive and he said we could try that. I then tried to butter him up to lighten things as I know how he must have felt. I would drop myself so quickly if I were him.

Monday came and he doesn't check in with me like he always does. I texted him 20 mins after our proposed time and said that we're probably off for today. He texted back immediately within the next minute and said he's getting work off a bit later but we could meet after or delay another time (inserts haha). THIS felt like his tactic to see if I was going to initiate to show that I am genuinely interested in him as he replied as soon as I texted and still suggested meeting after he gets off.

It has come to my attention that if people came face to face with an agressive animal about to attack, people would actualy atempt to reason with an agressive animal rather than trying to protect themselves for self-defense. People seem to think smaller animals like cats, raccons, pigs etcetera. can't brutally harm them.

So let's say you're minding your own business hanging at a frends house. Your friend leaves the room and you stragle behind while finishing food or whatever. When you attempt to leave the room your friends cat is blocking the door way. The cat is getting defensive hissing, meowing, with back hairs standing up and won't let you leave the room. It gets so bad the cat atempts to jump on your face and claw your eyes out and charges you into a corner. With the adrenaline pumping through your veins and fight or flight on your mind would you..

A. Atempt to run around the room to find a towel you can throw at the cat pissing it off more.

B. Reach down to the cats level, put your hands on the pissed off hissing cat, push it away while risking that the cat might attack becaue you have entered it's personal space.

C. Stand your ground and protect yourself from being hurt by the violent animal. Self-defense

D. Run like an idiot jumping over the animal (rember that the cat has chased you into a corner) you risk pissing off the animal even more that it lunges at you BRFORE you jump because you have stepped to close to the animal who was showing signs of agression.

I asked a guy out we both seem to like each other , but he was a bit weird about it. At that point i forgot about it.

Then, a month later her asked me out shyly and i was interested though a bit caught off guard bc of his earlier behavior. I genuinely had plans, so i had to tell him that.

After several weeks of hanging out with friends as we often do , I got the feeling he was still interested based on his behavior and things he said. I tend to down play signs so as not to assume wrongly, so I was not sure.

I also, wanted to make a decision as to if id move on or not as we have known each other over a year. So one day after playing chess, I asked him out. Which to me seems 100% rational.

He responded exasperated, as if i he had asked me 100 times and I kept saying no.

OR as if he had said no 100 times and i had asked him 101 times.

It does not make sense, and I do not like him insinuating i am out of line for simply asking him if he wants to hang out. I am not in a rush, I do not mind waiting but waiting -in the case he is interested, is entirely different than just wasting time-in the case he is not interested.

Why should not i ask and why should not he tell me.. I feel like i am in the twilight zone. He was perfectly friendly moments before , how can he get angry so quickly.

Some guys suggested he is angry bc i am not letting him chase me. Well, i guess if he wants a chase that is his choice and no one is forcing him to go after someone who does not want to be chased. It does not explain him getting angry. I am not into games, am i expected to change who i am?

I only asked twice and only bc he was not clear HOWEVER, I have seen guys suggest ask until you get a hard no-so you can move on with no doubt. Sounds logical. I am not against this, though it seems this is not meant for Women. We are supposed to just guess or wait or roll over and play dead until the guy says sit?
