in my opinion, I still think any time you leave bruises and/or welt marks is abuse, regardless if they misbehave or not. Yet, this is where I've noticed some people tend to say the teen deserved it and it shocks me. Something like this:

So the teen deserved to have difficult time sitting down and a week or so full of marks and bruises all over his/her bottom just because that's not as serious as if it were on other places of the body?

I only heard once of some girl raised that way. She came from a Carribean family and apparently that's all they know. She got in trouble for supposely smoking and some other type of misconduct (she was already 15) and she was hit multiple times with a household item on the whole bottom to the point of leaving bruises and it being swollen.
