It is a well known fact that males are lagging way behind females in collage admissions and college graduation, at every level from undergraduate all the way to doctorate level. Females represent almost 60% whereas men represent only about 40%. That is a trend that has been happening for years and still continues to increase in the same direction.

And yet there are still many more opportunities for female-only scholarships and financial aide available to females than males. So in essence the tables have completely turned over the last 50 years and males are now the minority, a disadvantaged class.

My question is, should we institute affirmative action for males in college admissions and reverse the female bias for scholarships and financial aide so that more males are encouraged to enroll in college? In other words, should society do the same thing for men now that it did 50 years ago for women? Is it time for society to show it cares as much about men as it does about women?

As a side question I'll also ask, do girls recieve more love from guys than guys recieve love from girls? And why would this be or not be? I would additionally like your opinion on this in the comments below as well.
(I asked that because I'd read a comment earlier where a guy calls it a fact of nature that [generally] girls get more attention than what he personally experiences as a guy; because he's a guy. I do recall the old saying that "women are the fairer sex", and so I do think there is large scale truth to the person's comment.)

To the main question, Western society is becoming more consumeristic, atomized and individualistic by the day, and so the concerns of others around us seem to get muted more and more. Hence, our lonliness epidemic is already more deadly than obesity and still increasing.

So therefore, we must be amongst growing demographics of people with either or both emotional and physical touch deprivation. In the title question I'd used the word "love" to address either both of these at once. But in the polls I will use "Love" as it pertains to specific conditions of physical and emotional touch.

I suspect that guys will make up most of the overall "deprived" demographic in the poll, because I've heard many experiences and perspectives similar to the comment I mentioned earlier along with suicide rates. Though with the attempted suicide rates in the West I'm certain that women experience emotional and physical touch deprivation to a similarly great degree in ways too.

But with that said, would you say that you are you loved, or deprived of love?

I was inspired to delve deeper into this based of another question I've seen asking how you would react if you found out your girlfriend sold nudes before the relationship.

A lot of guys seemed to say something a long the lines of the past is the past... which hey...🤷🏿‍♂️... i have my own opinions but i want to try and not affect this poll.

I posted a question on whether I should do Aikido or Karate not to long ago. Those are the only martial arts that are taught where I live and Karate won the poll.

I also said there are 3 different Karate schools where I live, and these are the different styles they teach. If you have any information on any of these please put them in your opinion, it would be greatly appreciated.

Was wondering this at work and couldn't shake it out of my head. I asked specifically a venus flytrap because a few of the things that makes an animal, well, an animal is that it is able to move and react to its environment, gain energy through eating other living organisms, and that is has a central nervous system. I'd think that because of these necessary things, amongst others, a "carnivourous plant" would be the best and closest thing to a grey line open for debate. This supposed animal/plant would be improbable at best to be actually possible to evolve, but assuming that it was possible, either through stealing chloroplasts from other plants or relying mainly on the bugs it eats for neutrients and energy, how the hell would we classify it? Feel free to throw in a comment after you poll to have a discussion with others about this, if you'd like one of the resources I looked at about the plausibility of a plant like this even developing there's a very interesting forum I had a look at earlier while talking about it with some coworkers.

Excuse my lack of understanding on open carry, its not something i am totally familiar with, so if i get something wrong, i apologise, but hopefully the question comes across

My question is... You decide that you want to practice your right to open carry because.. well why not, its your right! So you are out in a public area and you are approached by an individual who greets you pleasantly asks how you are, chats about your gun, introduces them self and what they do for a living and then asks if you wouldn't mind putting your gun away or taking it home as you are worrying a few of his friends/family/people nearby

Would you comply with his request? and if he were a Marine or member of the law (as stated in the poll) or just an average guy would that influence you decision to agree? (all documentation/badges etc shown to your acceptance)

The point to this question is see if respect for one thing outweighs your wish to open carry.
