There was a girl on G.A.G who said that she was so fed up with guys that all she wanted to do was use them for money. Both men and woman jumped on her and told her that she was an idiot who gave gals a bad name--and rightfully so. I have never used my bad experiences as a reason to treat someone bad. I usually tried to move on and make at least new and somewhat more evolved mistakes.

However, a man who had bad relationship experiences went off about how gals just don’t want good guys, so he was going to use and abuse them, and men all high fived him and some women even agreed.

What is wrong with this picture?

It is the idea that women “get what they deserve” while men are “victims” of manipulative women. In this case aren’t we saying women are smarter than men and should know better while men are dumb and can only be led around by the nose? I don‘t think that and I believe that ideology would be insulting to males….

Or, couldn’t it be that women are just as prone to being victimized OR that men are just as guilty of making dumb choices.

Apparently not. If a woman get heart broken by a snake guys goes ”Well that is what she gets for picking a jerk”

On the other hand, if a guy get goes all out with flowers, candy and expensive dinners and is hurt by the “she didn’t want a nice guy” syndrome, he has all the right in the world to lash out and play the victim card?

Could it be he was chasing a girl not based on her character but on her looks? He didn’t’ investigate to see if she was woman of character who would appreciate a man like him. He put all his pearl before swine and then chose to blame the swine for doing what a swine does.

Newsflash for both guys and gals--dating is a getting to know one another process. It isn’t marriage or an invite into the sack. Women seeking a hubby should at least wait past the first few date before thinking the man has no right to date others. Men, if you are paying money just to land a girl in the sack--try the more direct approach with a hooker--it is more honest and you get exactly what you want.

Otherwise stop with all the bitterness and fingerprinting. Don’t date if you don’t wish to spend money--or do free things--like go to the park or the beach--pack a picnic--a girl who is down to earth won’t mind and may find it more romantic. Isn’t that what you are REALLY looking for?

I have found that people who mature and picked a mate based on things that are real and not superficial end up with them finding what they want--male and female alike.

Stop the blame game on both sides--take responsibility for your actions and stop using the fact that you made dumb choices as an excuse to act like a horrid human being.

Maybe then you will find what you are looking for.

I have been trying to champion acceptance and tolerance for gender differences, but there is one thing I have to side with the fellas on is the whole "Guess what I want in my loaded question or attitude" thing.

Now the “Do I look fat” question I get—we all want appreciation and validation from our love partners.

What I am talking about is a whole different animal.

Seriously many ladies is they seldom say what they mean in relationships. I even dated a couple of girls (very, very briefly) that were always playing mind games. It was like "Guess what I want or I will be mad."

Far too often I got the "silent treatment" and it was enough to have me trot out the "lets be friends speech." Of course, if they asked why I broke it off, I told them, which often ended up with us not being friends...*shrugs*

I never had this issue--in fact--I found my honesty often scared dudes off. If I liked you, I called the next day. I figured, hey, I am not talking about picking out wedding rings, just showing I enjoyed and liked spending time with you--I mean, isn't that what you want to know after a date?

For every guy who was skittish about my response, assuming it meant I was desperate, there were those who liked the fact I was up front and didn’t play games.

Now, for sure, honesty can get yah in trouble, especially when it comes to someone who is as opinionated as I am, and yes, there are a few men who say they want some mystery. Perhaps it is this mixed signal of "Be honest but don't tell me too much" that makes women want to play coy? Heck, I dunno.

But I just can’t stand the whole “Guess what I am thinking/feeling/saying” routine.

Every time I see a chick flick where a girl goes off a on a guy because he didn't get her 101 clues about something she wanted, I want to scream (which is why I rarely watch chick flicks.)

I even knew one woman who told me that if her and her man is supposed to be soul mates, of one mind and one accord, then he should know what she wants.

I was like, "Uhm--what?"

Yet another said that it could be because women feel men won’t understand her needs if she tries to explain what she wants outright. I find men do understand where I am coming from—I simply introduce concepts in a language they understand. All men are different mind you, but like with the hubby, he is a computer techie type, so I try to get a bit technical and less flowery and emotional in my wording—it works. Men care—you just have to see what works best for communicating—it is an individual thing and will take work. With practice it falls into place.



I know there is a subtle psychology to this but I do not comprehend it -- I don’t think it is simply because women want to play games--maybe they are getting some kind of signal from the dating game that makes this seem necessary.

Guys/girls--I want a few ideas tossed out here--this has always been a thing that has had me nonplussed about my fellow gender...

I see so many questions on here regarding male or female behavior regarding to "games" being played and as one poster here said , these games are played to make you think about the person or keep them in control.

I never played them and there are plenty of people who don't. Unfortunately, like me, those people don't date much.

I was very honest and up front about what I desired. If I liked a guy, I told him. If I wanted to call to talk to him, I did. If I thought he was wonderful--I told him.

Although I did get a few dates that way, chicks who played mind games got far more action. "Playing" hard to get get was the biggest game, leaving men wondering if the girl liked them or not.

As stated in a previous article, I didn't change my ways just to score more points in romance and landed someone who appreciated a sincere and honest approach.

So, why do people play games? Because they work.

If we truly, really want to get rid of game players, we should stop responding to their games--I know, I know, easier said than done.

I just wonder why we would rather create drama as opposed to be genuine and then wonder why people won't be genuine.

Ow.my head hurts.
