So me and her chat on a dating/meet friends app. She says lets share our instagrams so we do. We message a bit back and forth over the next few days. Messages are quite detailed, includes photos, emojis and hearts. She then begins delaying the speed to the response but says let's video call tonight. I tell her I'm busy and will call her over the weekend. Weekend comes and i ask if she's free. She says she's feeling ill. A few days later she told me she puked the other day. I ask her how has she been feeling? No response. Next day, I wish her a happy Thanksgiving day. No response. Its been 2 days since then. I still see her posting stuff on Instagram but she hasn't read my messages. What happened? Is she playing hard to get? Does she want me to initiate a video call again? Or is she just not interested.

I don’t want to brag or anything like that but all my life, I’ve been told I was an underachiever when really I tried so hard to succeed in school, being social, being healthy, etc. I always wondered why I couldn’t become perfect. I wouldn’t fail but I was just an average joe and nothing scares me more than being average. Finally, I get an answer to all my problems and that’s ADHD. I could never focus in school. I could never focus in conversations and just zone out. Now, my life has started getting better with what I like to view as a second chance with medication and if I got this far with this disadvantage, I know I can kickass with treatment. Months pass by and I do start performing better at school, I start engaging more with my co-workers who viewed me as the “weird kid” thanks to my impulsivity. I work full time at school and work but I can’t seem to balance studying, working, and being an enjoyable human being for others. My parents can’t support me financially and I can’t fail in school. After every solution comes more and more problems, what would you do in this situation? Without money, I can’t afford my share of the rent and my diet and without grades, I’ll be stuck being a soulless cashier with “Life is Good” by Drake, Future playing in the background as my thoughts skewer towards regret and anger of not discovering this earlier. I am 18 and need a year and a half left of school. College is my option too. Thanks in advance!

She 'likes' me first on this dating/make friends app and i 'like' her back. I initiate contact. Quick replies, a lot of 'lol' 'hahaha' and emojis. A bit of playful flirting/compliments from me which she laughs at. I tell her i never visited her country and ask her where does she recommend. She says her own city because she is there. Just a very smooth conversation overall.

She then ask for my instagram and i give it.
She ask me to send her a voice message so i do and we continued on for a bit before I decided to end the conversation early as i had something to do.

Next day, i reach out again and things don't seem as smooth and she seems less responsive. Less questions asked and slower replies. However, each message is still quite long and detailed and she ask me to send a recent photo of myself.

Next day, similar. Some flirting on my side, she laughs and sends emojis back. I ask her to send me a photo and she sends me several. Her messages are still quite long and detailed and we cover some more meaningful topics where she shares more about the difficulties in her life (she's lonely, bored etc).

So what im struggling with is whether she sees us as something possible or just friends. On one hand, she seems interested with long messages, photos and opening up her difficulties. On the other hand, she replies slow and leaves messages unread. Is she playing hard to get and doesn't want to seem desperate?

So is this worth pursuing or not? If so, what should i do next, voice call, video call? I know texting only won't work long term. I dont think i have it in me to invest my heart into it only to be disappointed in the end.

Extra notes.
- Conversations can end abruptly as it gets late. She leaves msgs unread but i see her online. She replies in the morning but i also reply hours later as im asleep.
- Her voice sounds higher pitched in her voice msgs to me compared to her voice in her posts.
