Whenever I see a couple where the woman is taller than the man it looks odd to me and I also wonder what about the man made her like him enough to get into a relationship with him.

He's likely very tall, but unattractive in other ways so he pretends to be short. Then he asks ridiculous questions that present a narrative that shorter men can't get women.
I think he does it to try to build himself up by tearing down shorter guys. He has nothing else going for him but his height likely.
