Search Results: ready for commitment

I've been with my boyfriend for 3 years now we have a 1 year old child together. We don't stay together and it doesn't seem like we are going to stay together anytime soon as he is the breadwinner at home.
He is building for his mom, buying her food, toiletry and recently she asked him to get her a helper. Mind you he doesn't earn much and like I said we also have a child of our own. To cut the long story short, I want to have a proper family by that I mean I'm ready to get married actually I want to get married and stay with the father of my child and I feel like I'm running out of patience and I can't sit around and wait for him to build his mother's life before we start our own. Am I selfish or would you also leave someone if they are not ready to make that kind of commitment after 3 years of dating I mean I don't think it takes that long to see if someone is the person you want to spend the rest of your life with or not.

I don't know if i’m ready to be in a relationship i’ve never been. I really like this guy and have for a few years. He likes me too but when he wanted to date i wasn’t ready. i liked him, it was just too sudden.

i’ve had time to consider and i think i’m curious just tentative. if we could just try it for a bit so i can see how it is, it might help me get comfortable.

I do not want to date bc thats just all the stress of a relationship, without seeing how an actual relationship would be. i already know i like him very much, so i don’t need to date him to find out. i want to try relationship to see how i feel about relationships, not to see how i feel about him, i know how i feel about him.

so would you be offended, or relieved that its not a serious commitment?

i want things to be simple.. but i don’t want him thinking i see him a cheap fling.

id do it. why not i like her , she likes me.

id feel used. and i'd worry ill end up liking being with her, then after a months then decides 'nah, not for me'.
