I am trying to see if confidence/looks are overvalued/undervalued. Imagine you're single if you're not.

There are obviously other variables, but if all you can tell is that he's genuine and confident, not cocky, and he told you that he finds you attractive/pretty or beautiful, how much of a boost would that give him?

Whether you would date him or not is irrelevant, but you could add how likely you are to date if you want to.

Please be honest. No sugarcoating allowed.

The situation is this. You have a guy, and a girl, they meet (BOTH ARE IN THEIR 20's), they date, they fall in love, they get engaged. The guy has a single father, the girl has a single mother. When they announce the engagement the parents meet. Eventually the parents start dating and fall in love, they get married in a court house ceremony no one was invited.. Now the two engaged children (used only in the offspring descriptor as both children are in their 20's) are now suddenly step siblings.

What is the correct action here.. Should they break it off in favor of the parents who selfishly screwed things up for them? Should the parents who selfishly got married, divorce? Should the two offspring continue with their plans to get married?

Personally i am of the mind set that the two kids should continue, what happened is no fault of their own, and the parents were indeed selfish.. Reasons are, its fully legal, there is nothing in my opinion morally wrong with it, and honestly fuck the parents for doing this.

Oh and legally in all of the 50 states, step siblings are legally allowed to marry because there is no blood relation.. It would be different if there were blood ties. Additionally i think i would feel differently if the the two grew up together, that's kind of nasty. I'm speaking only and specifically of this situation, nothing else.
