So from his story she forced him to marry her or she was going to leave him. Things got bad quickly and they were only married a couple of months before she told him she was going to become a lawyer and was moving to CA. She pretty much left him and wasn't willing to work things out. So when I found out they still kept contact I wasn't very understanding because from the story he told me she sounded like an awful person. I asked if he still had any love for her and he told me no. He says he is just being mature now and that they have a casual relationship never seeing each other (she lives 1,000 miles away) because he has forgiven her for the past. Their divorce was more than 5 years ago and she isn't with anyone now and from what I have seen she doesn't have many friends and hasn't dated anyone especialy in the last year. He follows her on all social media accounts and she does the same. I guess I think it is a little weird. I have seen some of their conversations via text and they are pretty pointless from the few I saw. Like I have a bunch of miles flying oh me too... Type... I guess I don't understand why hold onto something you don't need and are better without? He tried to tell me they talk maybe once a month to see how things are, but it seems like a pretty constant thing... Maybe once or a couple of times a week and then asked me if I wanted to tell him when she calls him. What are the general thoughts on this topic?

I have been seeing this guy recently. I've known him for 4 years. He was my previous partners sisters boyfriend when we met so the four of us would hang out a lot. They have been apart for about 3 years now and me and my partner only a little while. Well I was talking to him once about how I never imagined he would want me and he told me about how he used to joke around with my ex and say they should trade girls. I just laughed and said 'but that's his sister!' Do you think this means he's liked me for a while? Or do guys just joke around about trading their women? He would also joke with his ex because she had asked me if I would ever be a surrogate for her (she can't have kids) and he would always joke around about doing the surrogacy by just doing me. His ex is much prettier than I am so it suprised me that he would even say that haha. Maybe he's just a pervert haha.
