Back to my video game series of questions. its been almost 25 years now since the n64 released in the states. A lot of great gaming experiences can be had on this system. my game was smash bros and zelda. i didn't get one of these until 1998 though. i went with the ps1 for the first part of this generation.

So i thought itd be a lot of fun to do a series of video game console questions and i can use it to sort if show off my collection lol.

so we will start with the original nes or nintendo entertainment system. Its what cemented my love of video games forever. Soo many games started here and I've been a huge fan of since. Its scary to think we are 36 years away from when it first released in the United states. I was only 2 years old! And our family got one for my brothers 13th birthday at a chuck e cheese. It changed my life forever!

So me and this girl met in the beginning of the year, we work together and things have been pretty cool. Recently things have warmed up between us and have been getting flirtatious, even other coworkers have caught on. I even overheard her talking to another female coworker about me (I’m pretty muscular). She’ll always ask me if I’m coming in the next day or when is she going to see me next.
One particular time I went to sit and talk with her after my shift (we’ve been doing that recently) and I heard her on video chat with someone else talking about maybe seeing them on the weekend. But then quickly dismissed them and hung up when I said yeah I think I’m gonna head out.
She said “When’s the next time I’ll see you?”
I just said hmm probably next week, I’ll catch you later and left.
This is what made me start to question things.
The next week I came in and I was intentionally being distant. One day, me, her and a few coworkers were sitting together so I brought up the idea of relationships. Just to investigate. During the conversation she claimed that she was single.
So I thought maybe I’ve just been overthinking things from the week prior.
Later I spoke with her alone and I told her that I feel me and her have a good connection and maybe we should go out sometime.
She told me that she wanted to be honest with me and that she actually had been dating someone for the past two months. She said she wants to be fair and give him a chance. But she also mentioned that it’s been hard to find someone who wants to commit.
I had no problem with it and I said it’s cool and I wouldn’t mind keeping things where they are at.
But now that a few weeks passed after that I’ve been friendly but also distant. Yet she’s been even more flirtatious with me, compliments about how I look, how I smell, including physical touching like rubbing my back or my leg. Getting even more personal with the conversation. Getting lunch together at work?
Some of this has me confused on her intentions.

Long story short, I used to be on Quora. I left there for a bunch of reasons, but one of them was because people were so whiny and thin-skinned on there, and couldn't handle the truth. I answered a lot of questions that weren't doctor or medical related stuff but dealt with genetics and biology. And some people didn't like my responses because they were "depressing" or "pessimistic." People just wanted sugary, feel-good bullsh*t, which I could understand if Quora was a site like GirlsAskGuys. But it used to pride itself on being more "scholarly" and taken more seriously, once upon a time (definitely not anymore).

I would tell them harsh things about reality, and how human nature works, and how it can be related to your genetics, biology, or even your looks, and people would just complain because it wasn't "happy, feel good" content.

I got tired of Quora being this hugbox circlejerk and left. I just checked it again tonight after a while and found my notifications flooded with the same "You're a jerk for telling the truth" garbage I used to ignore.

My whole philosophy is "You don't have to like what I say, but you're going to learn it, sooner or later." It's a complex and complicated issue though, because sometimes morale and "confidence" can be the game-changer.

Would you rather be spared the truth and live a life of sugar-coated lies and bullsh*t, even if it means you'll be a happy, confident person because of those complete lies and fabrications?

Or would you rather know the cold, harsh, depressing, dark truth, even if it can make you feel jaded, cynical, bitter, or depressed upon hearing it?

No third option, fence-sitting BS here. You have to chose one, or not answer the question. Which is better; the dark truth or the sweet sweet lies?
