4. Pub or fine dining : There are too many variables here to give you a definitive answer. Location will have a lot to do with it. Good management will too. With all that having been said, I have been to a few high-end restaurants where the food was no better than what I could have ordered at a pub, but the atmosphere in which it was served (and the service) was where the value was added.

The Stoic one. I really think Stoicism is misunderstood as a big fan of it (along with Buddhist philosophy). The vernacular seems to now conflate positivity and a cheerful attitude with "unemotional". Think Mr. Miyagi. He's very Stoic and a master of inner peace. Yet he's also very expressive:
The apology vs. pride one was also difficult since I don't agree with the dichotomy. There are many legitimate reasons I see to refuse to apologize in many contexts that have nothing to do with pride and stubbornness. Yet I would still prefer a proud person who acknowledges their mistakes and tries to avoid repeating them to one who frequently gets on their knees and pleas for forgiveness. It also makes the rare apology from a proud one come off truly genuine and sincere, like someone who rarely gives compliments.
Another way to put it is that there are many genuine reasons to avoid being an asskisser that has nothing to do with pride, like realizing that people of this sort will tend to be taken for granted and stepped on.
... which might still raise the question of why pride isn't the motivator even if the reason to refuse to apologize is the desire not to be stepped on. Yet the desire not to be stepped on might be fueled more by a desire to take care of ourselves and other people, making the desire to protect and take care of people the ultimate motivator for refusing to apologize.
Well, this is also tying back to our discussion of how I struggle with English. The way I expressed this above might sound like mental gymnastics trying to justify a stubborn or prideful action. Let me try an alternate strategy. Take the example of Captain Picard. As a deeply empathetic captain concerned with protecting and looking out for the safety of the ship and its crew, he cannot get into the habit of apologizing profusely since it would undermine his ability to protect people from harm. Of course, he still has a strong sense of accountability so he might say something like this in response to a complaint such as, "Noted and I will try to make sure it does not happen again," and he actually means it. Yet he cannot get on his knees and beg forgiveness, not because of his pride, but because it will allow people to trample over him in a way that will compromise the safety of his ship and crew.
Another thing is that I see no correlation between people who make a habit of apologizing with accountability. On the contrary, I frequently see those most eager to apologize as having the greatest tendency to repeat their mistakes, since they seem to conflate the apology with a get out of jail-free card. It's like if I have someone showing up late to work, what I don't really want is an apology since I'm not petty that way. What I want is reliability and some assurance through their words and actions that this will not happen over and over again in the future. Of course, some basic acknowledgment of the mistake adds to this sense of assurance, but it matters little to me whether it is expressed in the form of something resembling an apology.

The most difficult to answer was #24 because I want both equally which is extremely hard to get. Anyway, good game!
#25 was hard too because I don’t quite understand the gist of it. If I think about option 2 (giver of pleasure) as someone being a sycophant, then I’d choose first option.
