Search Results: why is he calling me names

So I work in a 5 star restaurant that is always fully booked and very busy every night, I've been working there for 3 years, and never once had a customer complain about me.. apart from tonight. Let me explain the situation;

A booking for 6 people at 6:30, by 7 only half of the people had shown up. I went over to the table and let them know we had lots of big tables booked in at 7 so I recommended that they ordered soon. (This is because if all the 7o clock bookings got their order in first, the 6:30 tables food would end up delayed) I explained this to him. And the customer said to me I was pressuring him. I told him I wasn't pressuring him, it was just a recommendation that I take their order now and add the rest of the people's order on when they arrived so that the meal wouldn't be delayed.

He asked me why they should order, and again I explained what I had already told them, and that their table was over half an hour late to the reservation.

He then said to me I was being inconsiderate that the people that hadn't arrived yet were elderly and I should appreciate that. I told him he can choose to wait if he would like, it might just put a delay on his food and that we apologize for the inconvenience. He then started getting super angry at me, and calling me names.

He then asked to speak to my manager, and complained that I was rude, inconsiderate and pressuring him, and that my customer service was horrible. I got upset because I felt like I hadn't done anything wrong.. whenever I have told other tables that we are getting busy around a certain time, they always thank me for letting them know so they will order quickly and won't have a massive wait in their meals. Yet he got so angry at me.

In YOUR opinion, who was in the wrong? Me (the waitress) or him (the customer)?
