Devon is 23 years old. he's a people's pleaser and always wants to be perfect and do the right thing. In middle school and high school his parents always pressured him to study, work and take extra classes after school. He had no friends, no girlfriend, and barely any hobbies because all he did was study, work, take tests and study extremely hard to get accepted into college. He left with a GPA of 3.7. He was extremely depressed about it and his dad told him he was an ugly failure. Devon hasn't cried since he was 9 years old because his parents told him men and boys are not supposed to cry and encouraged him to suppress his emotions and study hard for college. Devon often bottled up his emotions and pretended to be happy in public. His best friend died, dog died, he was bullied, failed tests, broke his arm, ruined his car but he did everything he could not to cry. His parents also made him join sports teams and beat him for cuddling and hugging another guy. Devon hated sports, he loved cooking, sewing and building things he wanted to make dresses but his parents said that was gay and disgusting. At 23 he graduated out of college with a Bachelor's degree and found out he was 189 thousand dollars in debt. Finally he had a mental breakdown. he screamed at the top of his lungs and sobbed/ screamed uncontrollably for four hours straight. He never felt so terrible and the pain was almost unreal. He couldn't talk for days and tried to overdose on pills. He was rushed to the hospital and his parents were horrified. Devon cried for another two hours, he never felt so terrible a day in his life. Devon also noticed he cried so hard that he used the bathroom on himself twice in front of doctors.

He couldn't get a job with the Bachelor's degree he had, so he moved in back with his parents and got a job working at Walmart making only 8 dollars an hour.

I've know this guy for 5-6 years. When we first met, there was attraction between us. A few years ago, we went out, he held my hand, and he wrapped his hands around my waist. He's not the type of guy that takes the first step and I was scared to get rejected. He tells me things like, you're the first person I invited to for my birthday. I remember twice on my birthdays, he tried to kiss me on my cheeks but I moved away. I don't know if this is the right term but, I guess we kind of friend zoned each other. We both started to date other people. Life went on and I got into a serious relationship with someone for a few years. We haven't talk for within those years. My ex and I broke up.

I sent him a text message and told him what happened. We started talking again. We met up for lunch and we had conversations about relationships. He's currently single and focusing on career. He described what he wants in a woman and honestly, I have all the qualities that he listed. He knows that I was really upset about my ex. We talked on the phone for a few hours. He told me that he never ever talks to a girl over the phone unless he's going after her. He then told me that he doesn't talk to any female unless he's after her. He has basically no female friends. However, the weird thing is, I always talk to him. He then said I'm the first girl he talks to all the time.

We have been going out alone. He say things like, I only go to these places with the girl i'm after. I invited him over for dinner and he came and we went to the movies. He really enjoyed my cooking. Sometimes, i don't know if he's testing me to see if I like him. Today, I asked him out to dinner but then he said, "next week lets do movie and dinner". So, I guess that doesn't count as him asking me out. When we look at each other, you know there's something but I'm not sure if I'm thinking too much.

Do you think he likes me? If so, what can I do to take a step?

I live a few states away from this guy. We initially met online and have been friends for years. We've Skyped and met in person a few times. He's 26 and I'm 24. This time I noticed something different...
This happened last weekend but it's been bugging me.
*When I was cooking dinner for him he kept staring at me the whole time. When I asked him why he would stare he wouldn't give me a straight answer. A few times he would stand really close behind me.
*We watched a few TV shows and I happened to laugh at a few things. He would look at me and smile... Then he would laugh because I laughed. Which is weird.
*Then we had a tickling war on his couch. I started it but he ended it with getting on top of me and pinning me to the couch. It was super hot. Nothing happened but I got so turned on. Lol
*I noticed throughout the whole time watching TV shows, he kept moving his thumbs. Like he couldn't stay still.
*When we went out, he took me to a place that I've been talking about so I can see it.
*When he hugged me good night, he held me so tight and he kept rubbing my back. But I know a hug's a hug.

I wanted to make a move so bad but I didn't want to make an ass out of myself if he didn't feel the same.
