I'm in the process of writing a fiction book about a girl after she tried to commit suicide in college and how she deals with the aftermath. I want to bring awareness to mental illness and be an advocate, but I'm a nobody right now. I figured writing a novel about it would get my foot in the door. I was wondering if this would be a good way to start advocating for mental illness in young adults.

Also, and this is for fun, if a G@Ger wrote a book, would you read it? Not necessarily me, but anybody on here.

Arthur is a 25 year old black man with dreadlocks. He's a single man with no children. Only had s*x with one woman his whole life and is rarely s*xally attracted to anyone. He works as a high school English teacher. Arthur really enjoys his job. It makes him happy. He loves teaching children and has been doing it for seven years. Arthur takes piano lessons every weekend and learns a new song to play every week. Every Friday Arthur makes snacks for his most well behaved classes. Arthur also loves cooking and trying out new things to cook. Arthur is typically friendly, good at listening and helpful. He was r*ped when he was 16 and has had 3 suicide attempts. When Arthur is alone he thinks about his ex girlfriend and how much he misses her. one day after school he kissed a 15 year old girl on her cheek and hugged her before she went home. Arthur wondered if what he did was wrong but it made him feel a little better.
