Two years ago, I had a coworker accuse me of sexual harassment, and after investigation, I was cleared and she was terminated for lying.

I've gotten promotions, and done well in the company since, but that cloud was hanging over me and I transferred stores recently because of my rank.

There's a girl there that I was aquatinted with before, but we've gotten to know each other more since I moved there. She got out of a long term relationship and we talk slot, and she's always happy to see me. I don't know if she liked me or anything, but we joke around a lot. She's mentioned I need to find a girlfriend.

Today she was leaving when I was doing paperwork, and I said she was just gonna leave like that without me, and she said I could come with her. I said she could come with me, got steaks ready for tonight. She said no, chicken sounded good.

She said she was gonna go home and just chill. I said, dang thought you liked me, and you gonna just go? She laughed and said I can still leave. We laughed a bit and she left.

She mentioned before that it's hard to cross a line with her and same for the team she's on and I work with.

Did I go too far?

I’ve been seeing this girl Chantel for just over a month. Chantel has made me really happy. She cooks for me everyday after work, massages me before bed, drove me around when my car failed, and offered to buy me a laptop 💻 if I go back to school. Chantel does a lot for me and always wants me at her house. We spend almost everyday day together. She even told her dad about me. Which she claims she hasn’t told her dad about anyone in years.

Things are going good, but. There’s a major issue. Her best friend is this guy named Godfrey. I don’t care if my girlfriend has male friends. But it’s just awkward when they’re super close.

Chantel n Godfrey have spent lots of time together in the past. She always talks about him and even calls/texts him often. She asked me if her relationship with Godfrey worries me. I didn’t respond because I think it’s too early in the relationship to talk about other guys. When I didn’t respond she said “you don’t have to worry about him. I’m not even attracted to him”. Since then, she’s hasn’t mentioned Godfrey as much.

About a week ago we went to a party at Godfreys and his friend made a joke about Godfrey smashing Chantel before we dated. Even Chantels own friends ask her if she’s ever had sex with Godfrey.

What’s makes me even more uncomfortable is that the she’s moving into the same apartment building as Godfrey. She said that’s the only place available rn. And that it’s just temporary. She gave me an extra set of keys and told I can come over whenever I want. I’m moving back home with my parents if I go back to school. She wants me to move in with her instead.

I like the my relationship with Chantel but her guy friend makes me very uncomfortable. I don't know if I break up immediately or give it some time.

So the story tells it all. I (20M), told off my coworker (52F) for being passive aggressive and spiteful to me and my friend (35M). My work friend who we'll call "Tom" is a great guy. He and I were sharing an inside joke. Then our spiteful coworker who we'll call Veronica started making passive aggressive comments about me, which I couldn't care less about. But she turned her scope on Tom mocking his height, and a few other things that Tom is insecure about. At that moment, I told her to stfu, that no one was talking to her and to stay out of other people's business/conversations.

I also implied that if she doesn't have anything insightful to share that she should just leave me and my friends alone. And that we don't want her sh*t. Veronica proceeded to call me a disrespectful kid. Though, I'll admit sometimes I can be quite frosty. However, it is never without reason. Generally, my peers and friends consider me easy to get along with. I give back what people give to me. If you act like a prick, I can be one right back. But if you're nice to me and don't give me too many problems we can pretty much become friends. Now management is getting on my case.
