With my recent Take about respecting space and not groping, touching or kissing random strangers, there was some misunderstanding among mostly males here regarding what I meant, and it seems that many guys on this site are convinced that they're always just one wrong word away from being accused of assault or harassment, just for simple misunderstandings.

Now, I personally think it's a great lot of hyperbole. I don't think it's that hard to navigate interactions without "accidentally" harassing or assaulting someone, or making them feel harassed or assaulted. I don't think it's that complicated figuring out how to flirt with someone and, eventually, try to kiss them, without making them feel violated. But a lot of the guys here seem to be under the impression that you "can't even talk to a woman these days" without "being called a creepy pervert or a rapist". So many guys commented on that Take about how it's not OK for women to make a big deal out of unwanted touching, groping or kissing because it's hard for men to know what is OK and what isn't, or when it's OK to touch and woman and when it's not.

So, I'm curious and I really hope that I get HONEST answers here. Have you ever actually been accused - and I mean either served with or threatened with charges - of sexual harrassment or sexual assault, when you honest-to-goodness didn't mean any offense and truly thought that what you were doing was OK?

What I'm not looking for here is incidents where your advances were rejected or a woman merely called you a creeper or something because she wasn't interested.

i liked one of my coworkers for 5 months and i felt he may be liking me too when i first started we would have little covos and things of that nature basically flirting but nothing more we like similar music and sometimes he quiz me to see if i know what band was playing we talked about my type of men and i described him he told me he could make any girl fall for him after 4 months i was getting a little fustrated and started to wonder whether he liked me back he was like finding ways to touch me always joking, staring he only brought up convos when we were in the stock room alone i caught him going through my phone case wallet and let i go then twice i left my phone unlocked without knowing and some of the things he said i knew he could only get it from my phone like contacts names one time i let him borrow my phone to watch netflix he didn't watch but two mins of it acting strange all started when i asked a new coworker to help me get some shoes and i didn't know he was back there and he said to me i get it you guys must be dating ( background on the other coworker since day one he's been flirting with me but i can tell he's a player he likes to talk about his escapades with women but we are always joking and laughing people think we are dating but its obvious we are not) i told him we were not dating and he said well you said hispanic men were your type i had told him this months eairler so after months of waiting on him i decided he didn't like me and i decided to date this other guy (we broke up two days later) and the day he found out he started ignoring me and asking if me and my boyfriend at the time were having sex he broke the lock code to my phone ("were texting too much") and went through it again also answered my phone (was in my purse) and was rude to my best friend (a guy) he didn't even tell me he called i can't stand to be in the same room as him and when i walk in a room he walks out i still like him but some of the things he does is creepy
