As an aside, this song was written about a good platonic friend. They used to walk along the harbor in Montreal. As a child for me, the lyrics held no sexual undertones. I just assumed it denoted strong connection on a spiritual plane. Course I wasn’t remotely into nor was I thinking of people as sexual beings at that time. As an adult I hear it differently and I can see all kinds of sexual or sexual adjacent possibilities— nice to know I got it right the first time when I was 6 😎

Not sure how long he's known his current girlfriend who he got pregnant I guess as a rebound after him and his ex from 10 months ago broke up. But his ex from 10 months ago and 2 years ago he knew both for years except the recent one from 10 months ago has his child and left him. His other ex from 2 years ago left him too but they don't have any kids together. His new girlfriend is pregnant.
