Matched with this guy (G) on a relationship-geared dating app, when I was away from my town over the holidays. Conversation started off rather cheeky, and then he disclosed he's actually in my city for a few days for the hols. That was the day when replies were like rapidly firing in the early morning (his side). Probably looking to get laid? Told him I was away ATM, and the convo took a more serious note but he started asking questions to get to know me. I think he liked what he found out, as he only became more engaging.

The next day however, things took a bigger turn - it was livelier and we were sorta chatting like pals. We were both travelling, but still sent engaging responses at frequent intervals. Felt like we were on a roll. Swapped life stories (career/ school) and shared artistic preferences (media/music etc.) He then said he'd visit my city sometime this year and made it clear he wanted to spend time.

I suddenly wondering what the hell am I doing? He's based in another country (~2 hours away) and it's not like we've even met IRL. I was strongly attracted enough to keep indulging in the conversation, despite the ridiculousness of it. I have never wanted to continue a conversation this much w a stranger in another city when I'm travelling around new places.

Was it likely he also felt the same way? Been a while, and he's still on my mind..

We've been texting every day for several weeks now, even well into the night and early hours of the morning. He normally sends goodmorning/goodnight texts (accompanied by sweet dreams). Anyway our conversations are normally lighthearted and joking, poking fun at one another. Recently he began sending me pictures, random ones (mostly goofy selfies, one shirtless mirror). We've talked about hobbies and what we want to do later in life (like where to travel and what career), and we have many shared interests in music/TV/hobbies/preferences. Neither of us have brought up the subject of 'like' or dating at all though. I don't know how he feels about me, or whether or not he just sees me as a friend. Most of the time he initiates the conversations. We talked about our favorite TV shows, even staying up all night a couple nights in a row so we could watch an romance anime together (via text, not in person).
