I had this guy friend and I had to end our friendship with him because he was crossing emotional boundaries repeatedly. He never though crossed physical boundaries. I told him to stop his behavior though and he would apologize and then do the same thing over again. That was a year ago. He has sent me a 7 paragraph apology letter to me explaining that he was in the wrong and apologized and states that a lot has happened since we last saw each other. I have never seen an apology this long from him in his prior apologies from some time ago. Furthermore, he states that he has changed. He then went on to state that he did care about me like a sister from another mister and pointed out that he protected me in a situation when someone was getting too physical with me at a bar. And I am glad that he stood up for me in that case. At a point I did consider him my brother from another mother. Should I accept his apology?
