Sorry this is long. Basically he messaged me on Okcupid, says that I’m really beautiful, we’re in each other’s age range (I’m 36, he’s 41 and says he wants a girl my age) and supposedly I have everything he was looking for in a woman. The problem was I really wasn’t feeling any interest for him after reading his profile, and he lived to far away from me (I’m on Long Island, he’s in NYC and kinda want someone who is also on the island that I don’t have to commute to date). I sent him a polite message (that’s very sweet of you but I don’t think we’d be a good match). He sends me two long paragraphs in return saying he doesn’t understand, that I should give him a chance, that I might change my mind once I get to know him, that I’m already 36 and not going to get many more chances then begs me to reconsider because he wants to leave the city and saw getting involved with someone like me as the perfect escape from New York, that he wanted us to pick out our future hometown together and said that he was really shocked because I sounded so nice in my profile. I apologized again, told him not to send me anymore messages and blocked him. So tonight (about three weeks later), I get another message from him (from another account he created) telling me he still really wants to get to know me, he still wants me to get to know him then gives me his phone number and begs me to call him because we’re both on that site looking for partners and he could be the “perfect partner for me but I don’t know it because I’m not giving him a chance”. I told him to stop messaging me and leave me alone. I was with two friends when I got this message. One told me that I did the right thing because he sounded really desperate and the other friend told me that I’m not getting any younger (which I’m not) and he sounds really interested. She says I should overlook the differences and the distance and date him, so now I’m feeling really bad. What do you all think?

A couple agreed they would get married in the future, it happened sort of fast (never good) but for religious reasons and sex... one day the guy (Sam) says he never wants to marry) and never have sex... he explained that he had fears and said because the girl would have to choose between love and money as Sam works a very busy and maybe dangerous job but the girl accepts sadly and tells him she will give other men a chance... but not long he goes back to calling her "my love" (his love). Sam got blue-balls when he saw her and asked for help (she was reluctant). She is talking about the relationship and he says maybe he can marry her, but she thinks he is emotional and not honest. COVID/corona starts 19. Sam isn't working but busy. She learns that Sam's father got covid19 he is at hospital. . She meets another man (let's call him John) online who has romantic interest in her (only 1 week of talking), she accepts all the arrows from John because she wants to marry and something serious. Sam has Corona/COVID and says he will die. She is so sad, and they confess the obvious love for each other... he becomes better and video calls her as soon as he reaches home, saying he missed her … she knows Love is not always enough, but wonders his intentions. A few weeks pass and no contact from Sam and during the time forgets about him to focus on the more serious John. Sam has Corona again and was in hospital. First day home he contacts her. She decides she needs to question Sam. If he wants to marry her, she may accept because she loves him. But because of COVID she never had the right time to ask him... So what about John? She doesn't want to make John sad. John says he loves her (but it can't be "true in love".. it is only a week and they are texting. She loves John but not in-love. time is an obstacle.. maybe John will wait. She feels truth is best but thinks John will feel hurt to know she is giving another guy preference over him.

Met a guy we became close friends and confidants, we were open with almost everything he had a girlfriend I had a boyfriend and as a result we remained just friends for 3 of his relationships

We were friends for 3 years before we started dating.. we’ve been together 2 years now and in my head everything has been perfect and that’s what scared me

After being caught he’s been apologizing since and trying to make it up to me saying it was the pressure and distance, bear in mind I’m giving him such a hard time but I always need my questions answered to understand why

Besides the cheating i never felt neglected while he was there I’m so torn and don’t know what to do

Since the day the woman messaged me she hasn’t done so anymore. She approached me saying “OUR boyfriend is a cheater” and she seems hurt that he wants to make it work with me and not her. He says he’s completely cut contact with her and I believe it because I believe she would come and tell me as she seems to want to be in competition with me

Should I give him another chance or is he going to do it again? He says he will be coming home for good when he is able to travel again.
