I'm a delivery driver and I had one very strange encounter with the son of the person who ordered in which he questioned the size of the tip (even though it was pretty average) and asked me why I get tips. I told him it's because we are paid (at least at the place I work at) about half per hour while driving, it takes a toll on our cars, and we don't get much for mileage (I get 25 cents per mile). He asked how much I get per mile, I told him, to which he scoffed and said "yeah, that's a lot". I didn't reply and just gave him the food after he signed and told him to have a good night. Through my time working as a driver, one of the most annoying things is people who don't tip, which makes me feel horrible because I didn't know servers made so little before my mom told me last year, but now I tip very well. Do you tip your servers, drivers, etc? If you don't, you absolutely should.
