I'm dating a girl. We doesn't call ourself girlfriend and boyfriend It's too early for that.

We have been on several dates. But she already thinks I'm too fat. Well she doesn't say the word fat. But she gives me hints she think i'm too fat. Like "I think you eat too much food.", "You would be a great santa claus.", "Maybe you should have one or two days per week when you don't eat any food."

This girl is skinny and yes I am a little bit overweight. I am trying to loose weight but it's not easy. And the eval words from her mouth are not helping.

We started talking to each other on Facebook, before we met each other for the first time She had (and still have) many pictures with great texts. Like "age and height and weight are just numbers."
She already knew when we met I was not skinny. She was fine with that. But it's easy saying that on internet.

She said I'm the most adorable and wonderful guy in the world, really funny guy who makes her laugh. When we are not together she said she miss me a lot. But we are only seeing each other one day per week. I don't think she miss me as much she saying. We living in the same city and can see each other anytime we wants.

I want to have sex with her, but she doesn't want that now. She wants to wait until we are official boyfriend and girlfriend. I think she only saying that because I doesn't turn her on.

Yes I can keep loosing weight but it's not easy. And I don't want to be skinny as her old boyfriends. But she like skinny guys. I actually don't know why she wants to be with me. Sure she likes my personality. But I wants to turn her on.

Here's my situation. Im 25, I've never been on a date before, and I've had sex with a woman. It was a hookup, and thought it was kind of mediocre. I prefer emotional connection over sex, but people I like are very rare. I don't know anyone anymore, and I have to meet people in person. The problem however is Im usually too shy to talk to anyone to even get a date. Usually I just end up staring at my phone and leaving because Im too scared to talk to anyone. I also lack self confidence, I live with family, and I work fast food. Currently deciding on whether to go back to school or just stick with crap jobs and welfare. Here's the thing: Dating stresses me out and depresses me. I dont feel like I have much of a chance, and the stress is so much Im considering giving up and either being alone or try dating men. I feel like it's not normal to be this shy and maybe I should just give up and move on. I don't want pity, I want real honest answers. Im tired of false hope and constant failure. Does someone like me stand a chance in the dating world or should I just move on? Is it normal to feel this way? What are some good icebreakers and tips to overcome this issue?
