Search Results: he says things and then push me away

We were best friends before and didn't want to have sex and have it ruin our friendship. I ended up moving in with him a few months ago so that he could help me get on my feet after losing my job and home. Since then, we've fallen hard for one another, he says (and I've said the same to him) he'd be devastated if I ended things and I agreed that it would be the same for me.

He's mentioned several times that if I find I need to move on now that I've gotten back on my feet that he won't hold it against me and that our friendship means more than anything to him. I've told him every time that I'm not going anywhere but he doesn't seem to believe me, no matter what I say or do. We always agree afterwards that its a non issue but then he says it again.

I've asked him to stop and have shed many tears and gotten upset over it, which leads to him getting upset and telling me that I'm only proving to him that he is going to push me away. I'm exasperated! I love him very much and have no thoughts whatsoever of ever leaving, he's the most amazing and compassionate man I've ever known and I can't imagine my life without him.

I'm just really curious to know whats going on, because my friends (are also his friends) act kinda weird around me and this guy. I was introduced to him by my friends/his friends and all they said was "Christina, meet _____. he's madly in love with you." I took that as a joke, because they would usually joke those kind of things. But I noticed something kind of sketchy that makes me wonder. He doesn't talk to me a lot, only small talk, and he's really quiet. Its my friends that usually make things sketchy, because they do weird things around him and I when we are in the same area:they would tell me he likes me and that he admitted it, even if he's right in front of them, they would tease him like "hey _____ reaaaalllly wants to talk to you" they would do weird physical stuff like first asking me " hey Christina, go hug _____" When I ask "why...? all of a sudden?" They would just physically grab my arms and his arms and push us together trying to get us to hug or something. And as I'm walking back to school with all of them, my friends would say things like: " he thinks you look attractive" and " he keeps saying your name " and "you have an admirer". And one time, it was windy and I was only wearing a T-shirt and was kinda cold, my friends said to him "hey ____, christina's cold, whaddya gonna do?" He was wearing a thin sweater, but started joking and then eventually actually taking it off and starting offering it. I was busy talking to my friend at that point so I didn't say anything to him, and I think he thinks I haven't noticed, but I see him put it back on and tried to play it cool even though his friends teased him. And today, he came up to my bus stop (he never goes there) and waited with me because my bus comes really late (its the last bus that comes) even though he told me his house was only 2 minutes away.He doesn't talk a lot to me but my friends are acting weird.Does he like me or just being nice and my friends ship us for that? An this is all new to me too.
