I'm not here to discourage anyone from marriage and kids. If you desire either, I'd urge you to turn back now unless you have at least 2 of the following: An open mind, common sense, a thick e-skin.

it seems that most people (especially women!!!) put a very high priority or importance on marriage and kids. Most of them see it like an iceberg: You see the top 10% of what it is above the surface of the ocean but do not consider the other 90% beneath the surface.

Furthermore with the economy collapsing at an accelerating rate, to maintain a complete family at full standard living (no chronic diseases and other discomforts for everyone) in a middle class family an income of near 6 figures is required. Most people don't earn that much. The poverty line threshold is also rising as a result of inflation (at least in my experience first hand). Overpopulation contributes to these problems.

so you build yourself up and then forfeit everything you have, materialistic and abstract for marriage and kids (which has also no warranty of turning out to be what you wanted it to be).
and with conditions like these in our society and planet, where we even the most ambitious and hardworking young adults can't really maintain for ourselves fully due to low finances.

even our previous generation members keep telling us sometimes how the finances/resources were much easier obtainable or the salaries (or rather the value of the money back then) were much higher than they are today.

so due to these hardships and circumstances it's making less sense to bring more kids into here and legally chaining yourself to another person you both supposedly were approved to "be in love indeed". is marriage and kids overrated?

Oliver was a chimpanzee who became a celebrity in 1976, at the age of 16. His head was bald and abnormally small in proportion to his body, with a cranium more rounded than a typical chimp's. His lower face lacked the usual pronounced forward jut. His ears were high and pointed, his skin pale and freckled, and his aspect unusually gentle and intelligent. And he walked on two legs all the time. When he lived under the care of Frank and Janet Burger, the animal trainers who raised him, Oliver fed the dogs and did other chores, relaxing afterward with a cup of coffee. In the evenings he'd sit and watch TV with the couple, sometimes preparing mixers for Frank and himself, of whiskey and 7UP. He did not get along with other chimps, and he'd cry whenever he was separated from his human companions. And when he reached sexual maturity, he was interested only in human females.

This last detail soon piqued the interest of the Japanese, and Japan TV approached his trainers with an offer: they would pay a small fee and fund additional 'scientific studies' to be carried out in Japan, in exchange for the right to reveal the results in a nationally televised program. The show's producer, Mister Kō Yoshio, immediately started recruiting sex partners for Oliver, offering 10M¥ (roughly $150,000, adjusted for inflation) to any girl who could give birth to Oliver's baby; and dozens of women applied. At a televised press conference, it was announced that a young and attractive Japanese actress had agreed to mate with Oliver, and for the sexual act to be televised in the "interests of science". However, Oliver's horrified American owners objected, and with calls from the Japanese police, along with the legal problems they'd face if Oliver and his chosen wife DID have a baby, the show was cancelled.

So then, would any girls on G@G have agreed to do this? What do you think of the dozens of Japanese girls who volunteered?

With obvious house prices soaring higher, people struggling to save and wages not keeping up with inflation, will renting and house sharing be the standard in the next few years if it's not already? I've noticed myself that I struggle to save for a mortgage and have family members and friends who house share with others. Seems like everything is going that way!
