I recently quit my job and haven't got another one just yet because I had COVID.

I was a part time order picker. I liked doing the job and the team I worked with. It was the company I couldn't work with.

I'm not going to name the company because I want to put it behind me.

I was a part time employee, so at first I was getting 20 hours per week, but after a month they kept scaling my hours back and I was lucky to get 15 hours a given week.

I put up with it for months and months. Asking my manager for more hours, working past schedule when needed, covering employees on their vacation. Also, most of the other part time employees quit like I did and I often took on their duties, like cleaning the lot, sweeping the warehouse, and sorting through the trash and separating the recyclables.

I was a loyal and hard working employee, but they didn't want to give me more hours, and I was flat ass broke all the time.

AND ANOTHER EMPLOYEE STOLE MY GLASSES THERE!!. I left my glasses in the office and someone locked me out of it, and I never got them back. They were $300 Ray Ban prescription glasses. I had my driver's permit and was in the process of getting my license and I can't drive without my glasses. So on top of being broke, I have to stress about glasses.

I have my 2 week notice to look for a full time job. But my Supervisor (great friend of mine) asked if I wanted a full time position there, and I accepted. I worked my 2 weeks thinking I was going to work there full time.

But on the 16th day of my 2 week notice, the manager refused to give me the hours until Spring. Knowing how this company does their employees they would have given the position to someone else, and business slows down over the winter, so I'd be broke for months.

So when my Supervisor gave me the Manager's decision, I snuck out mid shift and quit right there.

I don't care if I was wrong or dumb, I chose a hill that I was willing to die on. I WAS FUCKING DONE WITH THAT COMPANY!!

So a few months ago I got back in contact with my ex. We became friends again after 2 years of not talking. She's currently in a relationship with this guy who came just after our break up (so almost 2 years).

Last night I came home pretty drunk and before I went to bed me and my ex were texting eachother about some things that happened that day. We were talking about how she didn't have any intimacy and sexual satisfaction with her current boyfriend and started talking about how we were on a sexual level back when we were a couple... things ended up getting pretty heated.. I got carried away in the conversation that led into sexting with my ex, who has a boyfriend.

I have no emotional attraction to her whatsoever and would never ever get into a relationship with her again. I just love sexting and the excitement that comes from it, but now I feel extremely guilty and bad. I know she and her boyfriend are in a rough patch right now, so I feel like I kinda took advantage of that.

Am I the A-hole?
