Ex boyfriend after a year keeps contacting me?

Back in June 2020. I broke up with a men due to his financial/behavior abuse. He kept asking me for money/rides, and he has a bad record with his mom that kicked him out and a criminal record for being a sex offender. Oh yeah and he has a daughter which I found out online and never told me. So he is paying child support for a woman in new York I believe. When I found all that stuff out within 4 months I dumped him. Forward now he keeps contacting me every couple weeks. I blocked his number, and this week he used a different number to contact me. He does not understand the answer of NO. He say he loves me but this is not love. Also he say he has changed but I do not trust him nor his mom (why he got kicked out) I am worried because I do not know if this man is dangerous because its creepy after over a year he is still trying to contact me just only dating for 3-4 months. Never been married and do not have any kids with this man, I was thinking to call the police for harassments , but do not want my parents to find out. I am 24 and he is 30 year old men. I am sick and tired of it. He messed up his whole life, and I feel like why women will not date him. What should I do? I have ignored him for a months, but he is not getting the message. Do you think he has mental issues? He also does weed.

Not sure if that can be called mental issues, it is kind of just his life style. I guess it would not matter too much to him if you called the police; what would you expect they could do for you?
It sounds like this guy is just a bad citizen in this world. I just try to avoid such if possible, if not, i let them know that i dont wanna have anything to do with em.

Well not nothing drastic but give him a warning to stop. I thought he would be smarter because he already has a record of harassing women.

Well you can always try with the police, no question. My mom was a cop for 30+ years so i know some stories in that direction. Maybe that's why i am not too positive about cop's reaction to such stuff. After all, if he didn't break any law all they could do is to talk to him.
Dunno where you live and the laws there but where in middle Europe those "records of harrassing" women just mean that you will not get a better job than you already have, thats basically all. There was a guy in a local train caught and beaten up by my neighbour for exposing his penis to his 14 years old daughter on the train to school. Turned out he already has like 40 records of harrassing but it wouldn't stop the guy to continue being who he is.

Damned, why cannot i edit my last comment. I just wanted to point out that it is not a bad thing at all to contact police and tell them about your situation. In your case i would probably just do it and see where it goes.

I wish I didn’t have to call the cops at all. He should know to leave me alone
