Search Results: called the wrong name

My best friend applied for her first job at a retirement center. Her parents told her to lie and say that she’s babysat and petsat for people because she graduated last year from high school and didn’t go back to school or get a job and literally sat at home for a year. My friend is also 19 by the way. She put both of her parents down as references, myself and another girl. She doesn’t have any other references because she doesn’t socialize much with people. I’m thinking they can literally look up the name of her parents (different last name then her but all live in the same house) and see that’s she’s full of shit. I got a voicemail from them today to give them a call back. I haven’t yet. I don’t want to lie because it’s wrong. She would do the same for me if I put her down as a reference but I feel like I shouldn’t lie. I told her she can come walk my dog and then I’ll call them back after but she has yet to respond to me. Lying is wrong plus I might be applying for a job at the same place and I want a good reputation.
