Over the years Dating different women I have spent literally thousands of dollars on Valentine's day. Only this year I realised that I have never once actually received anything. not even a secret admirer. I then wondered from the age of about 13. Did she keep that $500 dollar bracelet, Did she keep that $700 diamond necklace? Did she remember the fun we had on that Cruise around the pacific?

Then I got wondering, HEY this isn't fair! What is this crap? I really enjoy the feeling of giving my loved ones presents so can't stop buying presents because I will be the worst partner EVER. If i buy cheap presents it seems like I no longer care. If I hand make something it makes everyone happy.(until her friend shows off her new car)

I have asked around 10 girls over the last 2 years around Valentine's day what they got their partners. Every single girl said nothing. Yet these girls received Boat cruises, chocolates, dinners, rings, dresses, shoes and all sorts or crazy useless material to prove love. They also complained about his poor execution in trying to be romantic like it was cheesy and a turn off ( poor guys).

I am talking based on people I know personally. They all basically yelled their answers at me and all basically said the same thing. "Men on Valentine's day are supposed to pay for everything and women aren't supposed to do anything.
Why does this day exist? It just hurts people who are financially unstable, lonely or have a bad past with women. Why don't men and women just start showing each other equal love?

so as a five foot six and a half African American guy I have seen the worst that women can offer. Women treat me like garbage at face value. And to me it is weird because in some cases the things girls hate about me is things they don't like about themselves (my height and how dark i am for example). based off of the relationships i see they are only happy when they get what they want and what is approved by society. They never get what they need or deal with guys on their actual level. then when what they want doesn't work out they blame men for not making their fantasy come true. they call men sexiest but when given the same opportunities they make the most material choices they can make with men. what that tells me about their leadership skills is that they are along for the ride but only to get what they want. they make men feel guilty for thing that they would never do in their life for example. once in a blue moon i might get a date but a women would never marry me why? because marriage is commitment. tall men take responsibility and date short women all the time but tall or medium sized girls barley date/ marry short men. And they are quiet about this because they get what they want with no responsibility. they use men to advocate their self-esteem and make themselves look better. They can't be committed to things that don't appease other people or themselves on the material realm. even with church girls i get the worst. they judge me based off of what I look like but the problem with that is..."But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” When deciding on men they never look to a mans heart only when he has what she physically requires. today girls have turn dating men into fashion statement were instead of matching soul wavelengths they match outfits that look good.

I'm turning 23 and am in college pursuing a career as a physical therapist. I have a small part time job and have a car to drive. I live with my grandfather because he can't live alone and my sister and her friend live there as well. I guess you call us room mates. I have two hobbies/passions one is dancing and the other is muay thai/kickboxing. But right now I'm focused on dancing (hip hop and ballroom specifically). I am willing to try anything new but don't drink or do drugs. I'm more of a quiet person with strangers but once I know you I easily open up. I currently don't have many friends because they all left for different universities. I keep myself busy with dance but have plenty of time for a relationship. Based on all this am I dating material. I've never had a girlfriend and am not sure why. Things just usually don't work out I feel like it's bad luck.
