For example:
I’m came from a Chinese family that lives in Indonesia. Over here, women around my age and not married yet is NOT OKAY. People in my society thinks that I will be single forever if I’m still not married yet. 30 is dangerous already. They urged me to get married from when I was 25. But I “ran away” to Australia so I don’t have to deal with those people. Anyway, I’m back to my country now and my parents and relatives started doing it again.
I do have a boyfriend right now but i don’t wanna put the pressure on him. We just started around 4 months ago. It’s not the time to talk about marriage I think.. oh I’m really in a bind.
Any idea?

This guy and I met through a dating site and have been talking for a few years consistently. We have had many intellectually stimulating conversations and have developed an emotional connection unlike anything I’ve had before. He has been there for me through a lot of ups and downs in my life, etc but as time went on I started noticing things that didn’t add up about him. He also seemed to have a lot of reasons for why we couldn’t meet up in person.

Well, I eventually confronted him about the whole thing. Turns out he had made himself out to be younger and more religious than was the case. He knew I was in my 20s and a virgin and he was worried if I knew the truth about him, I wouldn’t want to be with him anymore. He is in his 40s and has already been married and divorced before but with no kids. I am incredibly shocked and trying to process. I know his age doesn’t change who he is but I’m worried that we are at two different points in our life and that things that seem exciting or novel to him may mean nothing to him. I did notice he had a lot of worldly experience compared to me, especially for someone in his early 30s.

But now that I know his actual age, I am having some second thoughts, especially since he wants to get married and have kids with me. How do you feel about age gaps? How significant are they for you when you are finding a spouse? And how do your family/friends feel about it.

My older cousin gave birth on April for the first time at age 36. It resulted in an emergency c-section and 4 healthy babies.
Considering her age (she got married at age 30) and history of having a difficult time getting pregnant, two past miscarriages, both her and her husband were overly happy. She thinks that was God working in her favor and listening to her cries and prayings.

Would that be a blessing to you? 2 or more babies at once..
