This girl and I were best friends from 7th grade through senior year. We were both social outcasts at school and got bullied - hell we went to prom together as friends (no we didn’t date lol we are both straight) just super socially awkward. We had a lot of fights but also a lot of good memories. We kept fighting and said a lot of nasty things to each other and broke off our friendship shortly after senior year ended and didn’t speak to each other for 10 months. She contacted me in August of last year and we decided to give it another go. Since we both had no friends and we’re bored sitting at home and going to work. It was fine for a few weeks but then we kept fighting and name calling and threatening each other almost every day. We got into a major blowout on a trip we took for a concert in October. After the concert she said she didn’t want to be friends anymore and that our relationship is too toxic. We fight more then we get along and we fight when we aren’t out doing things. We have similar interests but it just didn’t work out. She changed her cell phone number but I know her house phone number. We haven’t spoke since October. Today, I saw her relatives and they said hi to me and smiled but had a look on their face like sympathy or something it was weird. I currently haven’t had a job in over a month and have been sitting at home day in and day out and I’m about to lose it (I’ve applied to several jobs but nobody will call me back). I have nobody else except my parents and it’s pathetic. I live out in the boon docks too so there’s nothing around to do and I don’t have much money. Her parents would probably answer the phone and recognize my voice if I called and asked for her. I don’t even know if she’d wanna talk to me. What do I even say?

Background:

Two guys were best friends. Hang out all the time, called each other best friend, etc.

One guy had been single for a year following a breakup with a L-T girlfriend (together 3.5 years). She was hot (a good eight) and a passionate, fiery type. He was known to be a lothario following the breakup. Recently, she came back onto the scene after a year away, wanted to reignite the relationship but he just wanted sex and they went their separate ways. They still have feelings for each other but knew a relationship was not going to work.

The other guy last had a girlfriend a few years ago and was still at uni but after graduating, he started getting more into girls and getting more popular.

Jealousy developed between them and they started seeing less of each other until their friendship became acrimonious with both of them taking verbal swipes at each other. They now don't speak.

Today:

The second guy has become good friends with his ex-best friend's girlfriend (the hot eight) and the two are often seen hanging out.
