To make a long story short, I’m in love with my local renaissance faire. I go quite frequently every year. Well, there’s this guy there that is a performer in one of the music acts that play each year. I’ve been crushing on him since last year, but I have never really spoken to him at all. I’m extremely shy, and get very nervous and awkward around guys that I’m into.

I’ve seen him four times this season so far, always making sure to watch them perform. I love the music as well, not just watching for him, just to make that clear. Each time I’ve seen him, he’s complimented something. The first time was the outfit, the second was the new flower crown I bought, the third was a different outfit (which he gently placed a hand on my back when he said it), and the forth was on my hair and how I had it done.

Now, because I don’t know him well at all, it’s very hard for me to tell if he’s being friendly and kind, or if he’s actually interested. After my faire is over, though, he travels to another. So he doesn’t live by me. I’m not sure what to do, or if it’s too ‘childish’ to go to someone that knows him and perhaps ask what they think.

Any advice?
