Search Results: being too forward

Grew up with this kid, and never got along. He was actually pretty close to my friend, and I always thought he had a thing for her but they never dated or anything.

fast forward a few years later, we all came back in touch. All three of us have obviously changed. Except this time around, I’m “closer” to him, and he’s super nice (almost too nice). He would always hang out, buy stuff, for the bill, and even just hang out and do boring stuff (go to the grocery store)

but why? What would make someone change? The other girl is busy (and has a bf). So I’m not sure if he’s just hanging out with me because there’s no one else. Or he just changed his mind. I just hate being people’s second option... even if it’s for friendship. Thoughts?

My relationship is complicated.
Timing is what we've agreed is a problem for us, to be us - like to be together officially, rather than it being complicated.

I seen him at work yesterday but ended up staying a lot later than I planned to, therefore missing my train home (this was the last train too). So he walked me to get a taxi and paid for me to get home (this cost him £50!!!), but he also asked me to text when I got to my car and again when I got home. Before my taxi came, we were talking a bit to his female colleagues (I'm not jealous of them, just to clarify) and when they left, he simply said to them he'd see them the next day..
Fast forward to the taxi..
He gave me a tight hug and a kiss on the cheek, then looked at me and smiled. I kissed him on the cheek back (I wasn't sure if he wanted me to kiss him properly or not) and gave him a tight squeeze before the taxi went. I wanted to tell him I loved him, but I didn't as I hadn't said it in so long because I wasn't sure if it would have gone down like a lead balloon, but I texted it to him and he replied that he loved me too.

Surely to god this means he wants us to be together at some point (soon?) and that he really does care?
