There's this guy at work who I find super attractive, and I got the impression he found me attractive too. However, because of the way he acts (he's quite cocky and gives off player vibes) and some of the gossip I had heard, I painted him as a fuckboy. We also didn't seem to have heaps in common.

Because I couldn't get over how hot he is, I pursued him initially making it clear that I only wanted to sleep with him, and implied i didn't particularly like him. We hooked up a few times, where I was quite cold to him to remain detached, though i did try to initiate a more 'friends with benefits' and hangouts, than just 'benefits'. I thought it was what he wanted, but now i think he might have liked me but couldn't show it. Probably also because he just wanted to be single. He ended it saying it wasn't what he wanted and he wasn't in a place in his life to want anything.

I tried to respect his decision and keep my distance as an amicable colleague. As time went on, i realised that we actually had a lot in common, and i started to see things under the cocky facade i liked. I also don't think he's the player he seems. I now have an actual massive crush and i can't stop thinking about him, even though i probably seem uninterested and distant. He also shows some signs of attraction, but otherwise keeps his distance. His work friends say he's interested and try to set us up, but they don't know this backstory.

It's been 3-4 months since our last hook up. I've reached a point where no matter what i do (hobbies, seeing other guys, focusing on work), i keep thinking about him.

Should i just let him know that I like him more than just sex, even though he rejected me once?

This guy has been my best friend for years; since we were Sophmores in High school. We have been seeing eachother ever since. Only hooking up- nothing more serious than that. This past year we have gotten extremely close. He tells me everything and I do the same with him. Hands down he is my best friend. He said he wants to keep things casual- so we are. But a little back story... If I go out on a date (twice this past year) he is supportive and wants to know about it later on. However for the week that follows if I say I miss him or anything he will say things like "Nope, you want other people" or "You don't even like me anymore". If he doesn't like someone I'm talking to (guy wise) he will encourage me to stop speaking to them and then correct himself afterwards and say things like "I was out of line; it's your decision to make". He has told me he loves me multiple times this past year and never said it before this point. He treats me like I'm his girlfriend infront of his friends (introducing me as "his" woman and his friends also introduce me as that). I told him I was thinking of leaving state and he got extremely upset and stopped speaking to me for awhile after sending me a long text saying he didn't know how I could just "leave him" like that and that I obviously never cared that much about him if I could just ditch him after everything we have been through. He's always picking me up whenever im hard on myself and reminds me of how great he thinks I am. And the last time I went to see him he didn't even try to sleep with me. He cuddled me all night?
