I believe I'm one of these people, who actually find happiness in just being rich.

I still remember one of the teachers telling us, that we students in high school likely think, that as soon as we earn a lot of money or get rich, that we become happy in life - and that this conclusion is likely not going to be the outcome.

At some point I believed it myself as I had my ups and downs in life when I had enough money to live alone.

But time went on and I realized, that money is actually the source of my happiness.
But why money you might ask.
Well because that's the only thing that I can control in my life - as in how much I earn and how much I spend and what I spend it on. And as everyone knows big money can bring us around the globe.

For comparison women on the other hand - while I have 0 desire to control them or script who likes me - are out of my control. They either like me or they don't. So in the end I just let it go and focus on things, that I can actually have an influence on. Which is getting rich and having fun with whatever money can buy me.

Someone told me, that it's common for people to get sort of rich, then they get sad and just degrade down to being just financially stable and try to find their happiness otherwise.
I on the other hand am one of these folks, who actually will find happiness in life by being wealthy.
Now my question here is: Am I the only one?

I do. Even though it may have imperfections, I've yet to see a physicist, mathematician, or doctor score poorly on an IQ test. Also, I think it's indicative of long term success. Take a look at countries with the highest average IQs; all of them also score well on the human development index. Those countries are also relatively successful in comparison to the low IQ sh! tholes in Africa, most of the middle east, some Latin American nations, and a couple of Asian countries. The lower they score, seemingly they seem to be worse off.
