So the question is confusing so here's a bit of a back story:
So after a very shitty situation I went back on the dating apps and tried dating and i found this guy similiar to who im looking for but i wasn't really ready to date and I was honest and open with him but there were no really signs that he liked me until after I asked him. He said "sometimes I would have feelings for you im not going to lie" then the implied many times we are just friends so I was a bit confused as to where we stood and I wasn't really feeling it as much so we remained friends and I found someone else who is my now boyfriend. This guy friend and I started talking and he told me he did like me and he was going to ask me to be his girlfriend after the first or second date.

Anyways he would say things like "don't worry i'm not going to steal you away from your boyfriend" or "you should tell your boyfriend about me and tell him not to worry i'm not going to steal you from him" things like that. Yes my boyfriend has known about this guy friend from the beginning of our relationship

Me and my boyfriend were watching a Christmas movie on netflix
In the movie, this guy proposed to his girlfriend

Then my boyfriend kept asking me these questions:

- "what kind of ring do you like?"
- "whats the minimum price you would want me to spend on a ring for you?"
- "do you like silver or gold?"
- "do you want diamonds all around your ring or just on top?"
- "how do I know your ring size?"

Etc..




Why did he ask me these questions?
