Why we don't meet, but talk a lot?

I speak to a friend of mine almost daily, for a year now. She has a boyfriend. I liked her which she knows but we're just friends again.
We still talk to each other almost daily, in a year we have met twice in real life, we grabbed a drink.
I would love to meet up more, I told her that too. Just texting on the phone for such a period is not good in my opinion. I find meeting up and seeing each other in real life much more fun than texting.
Unfortunately, she is quite reserved when I bring it up.
I don't think it's healthy to talk almost every day and only see each other in person a few times a year, we live close by.
Recently she indicated out of the blue that we should go for a walk together, I immediately indicated that I am open to that, but otherwise no action was taken. A few weeks later I asked if she would like to come with me to the city for a walk and something to drink, but then she couldn't come all week. We immediately had less contact and she did not offer an alternative to meet.
We still text almost daily and I told her again that I would like to meet but again she did not answer the question.
I don't get it, why don't we meet?
Is she afraid of something?
Is it because I liked her? Or because she has a boyfriend?
We are friends, its not weird to hang out, right?
Is she busy?
She doesn't want it?
Not important to her?
Then why do we text almost every day and did she even propose it herself?

See when a girl has a boyfriend they most of the time want to spend it together with their boyfriends, not their other friends, which they just keep them on the sideline like with little to zero importance.


At this point since she doesn’t agree to hang out with you at all? Let her go. Erase all contact with her and move on to another girl, because time doesn’t wait on anyone, not even you.

Thank you for your response. Its hard to let go because she said its important for her to be there for me and she want to help me with personal growth. But indeed she has a boyfriend and she will focus most on him and not dump him for me. Its the hope and dreams that keep me connected to her, what costs time indeed.

Do you think we can get back to be friends or will I always keep the feeling that I like (d) her?

You could be friends but honestly, ask yourself this: is it really worth that though? She’s probably let you go that instant as well. It’s tough to bite but it’s time to close that chapter for good. But you do what’s best for you.

I just don’t see a point in staying friends with a girl you really like when she wouldn’t return those feelings back. Sure it’s not all obligated but still…

Thank you man. Sometimes its hard to see the truth, but good the hear it from someone else.
I think if we stay friends I always be in pain (just like now) and thats not good for me. It makes me insane, cost a lot of energy, feels heavy etc. more negative than positive if I be fair. So I need to end it, lose the weight. Work on myself and find someone new.
