Things came to a head with someone I started seeing. She said that she wanted no contact for two weeks. And then, she said that she would let me know how should felt about us dating again after two more weeks, and if she needed more time to decide that. We're giving it a month. That was an agreement.

We still like each other, but we both agree that it wasn't good for us rn, and that there were too many problems in our lives which were making us miserable at the moment. Most of them were on my end. I need to work on myself — and i had promised her that I would, and was really trying to — but it was too hard with everything going on to actually do that, because there was just so much stuff happening. The stuff that was going on was stuff that I wanted to fix so that I could make us happy, and be a better partner in the future, but it was simultaneously getting in the way of me focusing my efforts in that direction — I told her that and she agreed/accepted it. Like I want and wanted to be better. And was trying to.

Still, she said she would consider it again in the future, in a month or even later at some point. I really like this person too, and I think we could be really happy together if we sorted through some of our problems first (especially me). My worry is that she isn't serious about this and that it's a soft rejection.
