My boyfriend loves daffodils and things that I make him. I don’t know which would be more suitable for valentines and which for his B-day.

It’s winter. I’m not going to be able to get a bouquet of daffodils for cheap, but I do know a guy who makes hand-blown glass flowers, and he happens to make daffodils.
The other option I was thinking of was making him a heart, by hammering nails onto a wooden block and weaving embroidery thread to make a shape, a heart is just a cute idea and I can do a lot more.
I’m also giving him some other stuff but this is what I can’t decide on.

He wants both (all he knows is that it’s a glass pretty thing or a wooden thing I make) and I just don’t know which to give him on Valentine’s. Which is more romantic and which is a better birthday gift? Pick the one you’d rather get from your girlfriend.

He's my best friend. He's been giving mixed signals but the last time I told him how I felt he just told me that we are in different situations but he didn't say he saw me as a friend. I just want to send him a Christmas Gift and write a letter telling him how I feel. 80% of me wants to do this. The other 20% doesn't want to because I'm worried he will stop talking to me. He's in law school so that takes up 100% of his time so he doesn't want a girlfriend... Especially long distance (we live in different states now). I'm in love with this guy. I don't know what to do. Any insights?
