Anyway, my coworker knows people from my previous job (they worked together at another school). She knows two people, one of the two is a former manager and the other is a team lead at my old job. She hasn’t spoken about the team lead but said something harsh about the former boss. She considers them both friends, I mentioned Tina (the former boss) and she said that she’s surprised that she became a manager in academic advising. Saying that Tina was very cold & had a dull personality with the students. She used to approach Tina a lot about it, saying that Tina often mentioned that she didn’t want to deal with students & their problems. And my coworker would bring up that this student had a death in the family etc. I never saw that side of my former boss, I told my coworker that was kinda harsh and she said it was the truth. I feel it’s only going downhill from here

Her fiance is liked by all except the mother. The lady has issues with other people too and is always meddling (gossiping like crazy too) in other people's relationships too.

She was talking garbage about the guy just last month and suddenly yesterday she's giving them her blessing and overdoing it with being nice. My friend blew up on her (in front of her fiance) and said to stop the farcade already, that she always hated him and that her blessings mean nothing if she's going to still talk bad about him in secret. My friend is a believer that blessings only count if it's real and sincere from the heart. So she got offended that it was insincere.

Those are the types of people that can have a good conversation and smile in your face but gossip and talk bad about you with others... behind your back.

Isn't that cowardly? I find that low class behavior.

I've been dating my boyfriend for nearly 2 years and his family like me. However, I don't like my past and have been trying to bury it. I'm afraid the news might get to him one day. Him and his family consider me a sweet, humble person.

Here is the deal:
I've changed but that's not who I was in the past. During my HS years and early 20's (I'm now 27), I've broken a couple hearts, joined gossiping, was hanging with the wrong crowd, stolen things and money from others, pretending to befriend socially awkward people (then ditched them... yes I used them), was a mistress once and tricked a married man (I didn't care for him either) into leaving his wife for me, etc.
I didn't mean to withhold this but I just wanted to start all over and get a chance in life. If I reveal all that, who is going to take me serious and want a family with me? I hate my past, regret my past actions and just want to be known for the present.

Does someone's past matters in a relationship?

He wants to confront my mother for directly insulting him in the past, meddling too much in our relationship, treating him poorly, bad-mouthing/gossiping about him to others, being a fake friend for years, issuing an insincere apology once and now (in the present time) being fake nice.

He hates lying, fake people and hypocrisy. He hates that trait in a person. In addition, he thinks a fake apology is more insulting than getting none... and if it's not a real reconciliation then it creates another longer war and the same offense happens again. As of now he doesn't like her at all and wants to confront her soon. He's running out of patience and wants to let it all out anytime. If you were my boyfriend that got treated like garbage, would you want to confront her too?
