My guy friend (who I like) texted me back after a few days saying sorry and that he forgot he didn’t reply. And then asked how my day and week was going. Is it possible he’s being genuine and forgot or is he not interested?

if it helps he’s well known as a bad texter.

he did say hopefully it’s not too much longer until we see each other again on Easter (over text)

We’re in college so we’re separated because of quarantine stuff.

A guy says texted me back after a 5ish days saying sorry and that he forgot he didn’t reply. And then asked how my day and week was going. Is it possible he’s being genuine and forgot or is he not interested?

I really doubt most people would have that capacity. Even if the person is contrite, they still deliberately did it. Just like bullying, antagonizing someone (for an expended period) isn't a mistake. It's a conscious decision.

Yet I think my friend is too forgiving. Here is her story:
- She met her now husband in 2011
- Both the guy's mother and older sister made her life miserable for 4 YEARS
- They acted like horrible bullies. The sister even punched her once when drunk, then both laughed.
- She would end up crying, her grades in college dropped and it really affected her appetite.
- A couple impacting events happened by late 2015; one of them was saving his sister from drowning.
- They were remorseful by then and my friend forgave.
- They got married in 2018 and by now she refers them as her 2nd family. She only talks about good things.
- When I tried to remind her how they were nasty people, she changes the topic and claims she already forgave and forgot long ago.

Is that generally possible? To not just forgive your tormentor (s) but also befriend them and developing a close relationship with them? Basically them going from tormentors to one of your closest allies/friends.

My guy friend is obsessed with card/board games. (We are college age and work in a cafeteria so it’s kinda chill)

I’ve been to his house 3 times in a week to play.

he's also invited me twice to hang out and play games with his friends (I didn’t go) a third time he mentioned if he was playing games he’d tell me but he spaced and didn’t and he apologized the next day for forgetting.

Yesterday at work we played 4 games of 20 questions. (A game where i have 20 questions to guess what he’s thinking)

Does this boy like me or are is he being friendly?

is it possible he does and he’s scared of losing the friendship?
