My name is Elise and I had a falling out with my ex-best-friend Mo about 3-4 years ago over small reasons. I did hurt her, but I never intended to cause her as much pain as I did. We were friends our freshman year of college and I ended up breaking her trust by going for two guys we both liked. Anyways, we had an amazing connection and I feel like I haven't been able to find anyone else like her since we were friends. She was truly my better half, she genuinely accepted me for who I was, and I never felt judged by her. I could be my authentic self around her and I truly just miss having her in my life. When our friendship first ended, we couldn't even talk to one another and she would be pretty passive aggressive when she saw me. She would stare at me, try to be loud to get my attention, or do things to get me to look at her. However, in the past 2 years we've gotten to the point where we can be cordial and act friendly with each-other in person. Although, I haven't seen her in over 6 months because we graduated college and are working at different places. When I was able to see her in person last year, I could tell we still cared about one another and each-other's well being. In the past 6 months, I have texted her a few times to get help with work stuff and she responded, but the last time I texted her in November, she never replied so I was just confused. I am now at the point where I want to text her and tell her I have something important I want to talk to her about and just tell her how I feel about everything and explain how much I miss her/want to earn her trust back. I can't get her/our friendship off my mind and it's been taking a toll on me emotionally. I just want to know what's the best next step to take. Any advice? My ex boyfriend of 7 months dumped me out of the blue about two months ago. We never fought or had any issues, and I was heartbroken and confused when he laid it on me.
I grieved the relationship for several weeks, and with new routines starting this month I was doing fine (still sad, but doing ok).

But over the last few weeks I’ve just been so heartbroken all over again. I replay conversations he said in those final weeks about what we would do together at Christmas, etc. I miss him so much and I don't know what to do.

He was weird when I got my key back from him a month ago. We parked side by side in an empty lot and exchanged maybe 10 words, but I wished him the best. The next week I messaged him something kind about his family and received no response (didn’t expect one as he has never responded to a text without a question in it). I thought I’d be getting over him more each day, but I can’t get him out of my mind. I just miss him (and US) so so much. I feel like if I don’t say something I’ll regret it? But also am scared to be vulnerable. Any ideas?
