A class I'm in has a lecture portion almost every day and recitation once a week. We're in groups in recitation, and a guy in the group next to mine has been making more of an effort recently to come over to my group and talk to us (me mostly). Today he made a point to ask me what happened a couple days ago in class when he could see that another guy seemed to be giving me a hard time. I gave him the context that it was a creepy guy who had hit on me a couple months ago and was again being weird with me. When I explained what happened, he made a joke about me needing to pretend my friend next to me was my boyfriend, and I jokingly said that I really should make up a fake boyfriend since I don't have one to ward off any creepy guys. After I explained the weird things the creepy guy said, the guy in my recitation said "Alright, I'll take notes then on what to do" (in regards to talking to girls... maybe me?).

I thought it was really interesting that the guy in my recitation saw the interaction I had in class (it's a large lecture of ~200 seats, so he would've had to know where I sit, and we don't sit near each other), remembered it two days later, and made a point to ask me about it specifically.

The semester is practically over and I kind of like this guy, so I'm wondering, what should I do? I don't know his name, I don't know if he's interested, and we only talk a bit once a week in lab (although I see him in passing pretty much after every class). Is there any way I could/should try to talk to him in these final weeks? Is this situation hopeless? Thanks so much for listening!
